Netflix's new documentary, THE TALE OF NORM MACDONALD, is kind of amazing, both in terms of its content (lots of Norm!) and its form (it recreates going down a video rabbit hole amazingly well). I talked about it with Norm chronicler @geoffedgers: https://t.co/ANdaALS65z
Ava DuVernay remembers Washington Post film critic Ann Hornaday, honoring the humanity, dignity and respect she brought to film criticism, even when she didn’t love a movie.
In conversation with IndieWire’s Chris O’Falt at Art of the Doc, presented by National Geographic Documentary Films, DuVernay reflects on the relationship between filmmakers and journalists and the importance of telling people’s stories with care.

Issue is that none of us - Washington Post folks - have criticized or slammed the Sun and we have not only wished our former colleagues well, but also tried to help support them. And there’s a lot of unfriendliness and worse directed at all of us each day. So this felt wrong.
A lot of people taking very self-satisfied umbrage at a tweet no sane person can disagree with. I still subscribe to the Post but am under no illusion about its ownership, his interference in the paper's affairs, and the decline in quality that it has produced.
33-page glossy on @washingtonpost's big reporting feats in first half of 2026 aka, "we're doing some great work" *they are* "and here's a reminder in case..."

Review: This month, Chris Hansen’s subscription base should get a boost. A24’s “Primetime,” in which he’s portrayed by Robert Pattinson, opened in theaters on Friday. https://t.co/asBar35ume
To some, Chris Hansen of “To Catch a Predator” is an overzealous TV hack, thrilled to ruin the lives of people who never so much as touched a child.
To fans of TruBlu, his online crime-themed network, Hansen is a crusader against evil. https://t.co/asBar35ume
My colleague just completed a dream assignment: Go on a catch with Chris Hansen. In light of "Primetime," check out this brilliant profile of Chris by Geoff Edgers.

Primetime and Robert Pattinson recreate so-called predator stings. They’re a lot different in real life, as we saw when we shadowed @chrishansen in Louisiana. https://t.co/17P3FSpsiG
I went to Louisiana to watch @chrishansen on a sting and then I sat in the movie theater as he watched Primetime for the first time. https://t.co/N9XrNXQMOV
Still could never get @RichardGrenell to talk with us but here’s a postscript on his 13 months in charge of the Kennedy Center. https://t.co/DU3ORsjZQn
