In early 2020, ‘George to the Rescue’ teamed up with the New York Mets to surprise teenage superfan Danny Marquino. Danny had bravely battled a brain tumor for years. During a heartwarming bedroom makeover reveal, seven-time All-Star David Wright stunned the whole family with a signed jersey and personal invite to batting practice. ⚾️🧢

Five years later, a tragic ski accident left Danny’s loving & dedicated father Larry paralyzed. Upon learning the news, @georgeoliphant returned to Stewart Manor to renovate the Marquino house for a second time and help bring Larry home. And once again, in a wonderful gesture of kindness and support, the @Mets recognized this family’s remarkable resilience, togetherness, and fandom while crafting another @CitiField experience they’ll never forget!

Now framed and proudly displayed in Johnny's new wellness studio, these giant kicks are more than just memorabilia—they’re a testament to everything the resilient teen has overcome and the greatness he’s destined to achieve.
