I had a in depth conversation with two Mormons in a store. We ended up landing on the deity of Christ, His pre-existence and the Trinity. Every biblical truth I presented about the nature and character of God was met with "well we believe that if you just pray about it, God will tell you."

We cordially disagreed, but their grounding for what they believe about the Bible and the Book of Mormon was based on nothing more than "I prayed about it and I believe it."

I questioned them about Joseph Smith, his timing in history, how he found the golden plates, and all of their responses were, "we prayed and we just believe."

The heart of these Mormons was truly commendable. Their faith was strong, but it was in the wrong god. It broke my heart knowing this. I shook their hand and later prayed asking the Lord to water the seeds that may have been planted in our conversation. That they would come to know the one true and living God of the Bible and escape the false god of Mormonism that sees Jesus as a created being and the brother of Satan.

The revelation of Truth is not found in just praying about it and self confirming it within.

There is evidence, reasonable faith, manuscripts that have survived the testing of time unlike any other documents in human history, and historical and geological realibility available in the biblical Christian faith.

All that is needed is available. We don't need another testament. Paul said that "even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!" Galatians 1:8

Doesn't make much difference if its unaffordable to most. I will never forget when they told my dad an experimental drug would save him but his insurance wouldn't pay it and that would be like 50,000 in cash a shot for three shots. It was something like that. And seeing the look on his face when he was priced out of a chance for survival will haunt me forever. These things should be available to everyone.

Once a customer approves the cost estimate, Tesla has economic incentive to proceed with the approved repair and monetize instead of warranty repair.

This is the exact same behavior of other American autos and it’s unfortunate because Tesla used to be different.

In my view these should be warranty items, but either way I’d prefer to have Tesla actually check out my truck, diagnose the issue and then tell me it’ll cost me 💲.

I ignored the estimate initially but then the service team told me I needed to approve it or the appointment would be cancelled. You’re hosting people into the economic incentive trap.
