๐ Coming in August.. Ghiblipedia!
After travelling around the globe with our last book, we're returning to Studio Ghibli to present this beautifully illustrated encyclopedia that dives deep into the details of the world's greatest animation studio.
Now available to pre-order!
Showing THE WRONG TROUSERS at 6.30am at the end of our @picturehouses all-nighter last year might have been where I peaked. It's all been downhill since.
I'm very lucky to have interviewed Nick Park and Peter Lord for the podcast, and we dedicated a whole miniseries to Park's filmography - but there's so much more to delve into. Hope I get to someday.
Goes without saying, but what an institution. So deeply part of the British cultural woodwork that they're equally beloved, ubiquitous and taken for granted.
๐ We have (another) book out!
The Little Guide to Ghibli is our pocket-sized primer on the legendary animation studio. It's packed full of quotes, facts, trivia and behind-the-scenes stories โ and a little bit of myth-busting, too.
Find it in a good bookshop near you now! ๐
Time for my daft tradition of posting the acknowledgements page from a new book, because such things need to be shouted about as publicly as possible. No-one works in a vacuum!
Explore the characters, creatures, people and places of Studio Ghibli in this beautifully illustrated encyclopedia ๐๐ฝ๏ธ
