$ICP needs to deliver stronger performance ahead.
If you truly believe in its fundamentals, long-term vision, and real utility — drop a like! ❤️💪
Diamond hands loading. Let’s go!
When you see bitcoin:native and ethereum:native prices rising strongly, while ICP continues to show little progress — do you also feel disappointed?
Will the bright future we’ve envisioned for the Internet Computer actually arrive?
Or are we drifting further from that ideal?
I’m not being bearish. I’m just honestly feeling this gap.
No matter how advanced the technology is, if it isn’t widely recognized and adopted by the market, it’s hard to turn it into real value and confidence.
I hope the community and team can face this reality and think together about how to convert potential into results — instead of comforting ourselves with ‘the future will be better.’
What do you think? #ICP
Community, let’s think about this together:
Why should sustained market cap ranking be our North Star metric?
It is the clearest and most objective market feedback:
• It directly shows real recognition and competitive standing.
• Short-term price moves are fine, but persistent ranking decline (from top 20+ early days to around #50 now) reveals that our efforts aren’t translating into market success.
We need to make stable market cap ranking improvement the ultimate goal, build clear feedback loops, and push the @dfinity team and @dominic_w to adjust accordingly.
Only by facing this hardest metric honestly can we turn potential into real success.
Open to rational discussion #ICP
I’ve been sharing some thoughts in the community lately and want honest feedback:
• Should we view every ‘new development’ more objectively (instead of constant ‘IF it succeeds…’ hype)?
• Do we need a quantifiable market feedback system (adoption, TVL, ranking, trust metrics) to hold the team accountable and drive real adjustments?
• For products like MULTI/DEX, besides great tech, must we proactively solve liquidity, marketing, and trust issues before launch?
This kind of “test data hype” is seriously damaging ICP’s credibility.
MULTI/DEX is currently in Game Mode / Play Mode using official dummy assets. Players get $100k in fake money to trade, provide liquidity, and stress-test the system.
Yet some accounts are fully aware it’s dummy data but still screaming “insane!!!! 🔥 dfinity means business!!!!” while posting fake TVL/volume/revenue numbers as proof.
This misleading hype only makes ICP look like another project inflating numbers and fooling newcomers. It burns trust with every cycle.
If we want ICP to succeed, stop treating testnet/demo numbers like real business metrics. Build real adoption first.
#ICP #MULTIDEX
Ultimately, a DEX’s success depends on liquidity, user acquisition, marketing, and trust — not just superior technology.
I’m genuinely worried that MULTI/DEX will become yet another ‘great story’: massive hype before launch, then post-launch discussions about ‘why no promotion? why isn’t anyone using such an amazing product?’
No matter how revolutionary the tech is, without clear liquidity incentives, proactive marketing, and real trust-building, it risks ending up the same way — full of potential but failing to deliver.
I hope @dfinity@dominic_w and the community start addressing these seriously during the Play Mode phase, instead of waiting until after launch.
Real success means turning ‘IF’ into ‘When’. #ICP #MULTIDEX”
Imagine the $ICP burn rate if Multi/DEX is as successful as we think it is.
Capturing even a fraction of the perp DEX market could send ICP's market cap soaring.
Every time $ICP has new progress, the price wiggles a bit, but once the news actually lands, it often makes fresh lows.
Price isn’t everything, but it serves as a key market barometer — it shows real sentiment toward the developments, the team’s long-term vision, and whether whales have conviction to hold.
I’m not being bearish. I just want to remind the community:
We need to view every new narrative objectively, use market feedback as a mirror, learn from it, and push the DFINITY team toward meaningful adjustments.
Only by facing reality can we turn potential into actual results. #ICP
Too many KOLs blindly hype and flatter, constantly feeding the community the ‘IF Multi/DEX succeeds, then ICP will moon’ dream.
It’s time to face reality and point out the problems.
We need a quantifiable market feedback mechanism: clear KPIs, regular comparison against actual results (ranking, adoption, TVL, trust), and real accountability for iteration and course correction.
We can’t keep living in potential narratives forever. #ICP”
Are we just the IF Coming Project forever?
No matter how advanced the tech is, it’s always ‘if Multi/DEX succeeds, then $ICP will soar…’
I’m so tired of these conditional hype narratives.
When do we actually deliver results instead of potential? #ICP
Imagine the $ICP burn rate if Multi/DEX is as successful as we think it is.
Capturing even a fraction of the perp DEX market could send ICP's market cap soaring.
@opy_john I don’t know if what you described is entirely accurate, but if large holders are dumping heavily at the first sign of a pump, that’s genuinely damaging and hurts community trust badly.
One core question on $ICP:
Why does such a disruptive, cutting-edge Internet Computer technology only rank #49 in market cap? It has fallen significantly behind from years ago.
Is it tokenomics, adoption speed, or execution? Looking forward to thoughtful discussion. #ICP #InternetComputer
Have we truly confronted this perception gap honestly? Do we have mechanisms to actively collect, face, and improve upon external feedback?
I hope the community can discuss this more openly instead of staying in an internal echo chamber. #ICP
@SnassyIcp Fair point — Dom has publicly expressed disappointment with the ranking and frustration with large sellers, and Mission 70 is a concrete tokenomics initiative. It’s not silence or inaction.
The real question is: Do we have a clear tracking mechanism to measure whether these efforts are actually moving the needle on market feedback?
When we keep putting in work (tech, proposals, governance) but key metrics like market cap ranking, adoption, and community trust don’t show meaningful improvement, are we willing to confront that and adjust course?
We’re not dismissing the effort — we just want the effort to solve the actual problems the market cares about. Otherwise we risk staying in the “we’re working on it” narrative.
@ghost_icp@dfinity@dominic_w Dom has said that he’s disappointed with ICP’s ranking, had expressed frustration with some big sellers, and dfinity has explicitly tried to address tokenomics with mission70 - it’s not silence and inaction. We might want more, but there isn’t nothing.
I’m just raising my voice so the community faces reality: the technology is so advanced, yet adoption and recognition still lag far behind.
I desperately want the crypto world to truly recognize $ICP as the great project it can be.
If it fails, I’ll feel like I failed too — that’s why I want it to succeed so badly.
We must face the problems, confront reality, and put in the work together.
Who’s with me in pushing it forward? #ICP #InternetComputer”
🚨 NNS Proposal #142774: MULTI/DEX Play Mode Deployment Takes Another Step Forward
The build-out of $ICP DeFi is accelerating.

At the end of the month, there will be some positive developments. I’m making a simple observation list to track how the market responds.
Key metrics I’ll be watching:
• $ICP market cap ranking
• Increase in crypto community discussion and sentiment
• Growth in buying volume and new holders
• Trading activity and liquidity improvement
I believe $ICP has a strong technical foundation — it just needs time for the market to catch up.
Hoping for positive feedback from the upcoming catalysts. Let’s observe together rationally.
