@gigdrivers Two weeks ago, I had a manager tell me, "I hope you know that if the Uber order is ready before your order then I have to mark that against you in the app." I said, "OK, sounds good."
Some of these people are on some kind of power trip.
I once had a McD's tell me that I'm not allowed to order food while picking up. I unassigned the order and told them to have fun waiting for another delivery driver.
What are your go-to foods to eat while driving?
I will usually accept a McDonald's order so I can grab a Double Cheeseburger while I'm there. For a snack, it's Lance peanut butter crackers.
If you order from Pasqually’s Pizza & Wings in an app, you're getting Chuck E. Cheese. A lot of restaurants are using fake names in delivery apps to fool customers.
Workers w/grocery delivery apps such as @Instacart say customers relying on them for groceries during the coronavirus lockdown are robbing them of a livable wage -by luring them w/a big tip, only to decrease or remove the tip altogether after delivery.

Hey @CNET@VICE@thelaughingsub@josephfcox, I would be happy to fill you in with more info on this @doordash problem, as well as with @grubhub, who refuses to pay drivers ANYTHING when they get sent to a closed restaurant.

"Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the grocery delivery company has refused to offer its 175,000 gig workers basic protections like hazard pay, hand sanitizer, and paid leave for those with pre-existing health conditions."

"The bill would allow gig workers, such as Uber & Lyft drivers... to be eligible to apply for unemployment benefits. It would also add $600 per week for up to four months compared to what beneficiaries normally receive."

1) Customers of Grubhub probably aren't aware - When a driver drives to the restaurant, then finds that the order is canceled, or that the spot is closed, @grubhub refuses to pay the driver for the trip... (continued)

3) @doordash at leasts pays their drivers half of the guarantee when this happens. Not ideal, but they at least get paid partially for their time, money, gas, and vehicle usage when this happens.
