Giving admins an operating budget doesn’t mean giving them a blank check.

Gimbalabs expenses must be related to Gimbalabs, transactions remain publicly visible, and community members can question spending in the Open Governance Space.

The goal is less bureaucracy without losing accountability.

One change in Gimbalabs' admin work: we're actively looking for funding opportunities beyond Cardano.

That includes foundations and organizations interested in education, open-source development, experimentation and the kind of work Gimbalabs has been doing.

Cardano remains home. We're widening the search.

A small milestone for Gimbalabs:

Our first proposal under the new governance format has passed.

The proposal creates a 6-month operating mandate for the admins, covering routine operations, infrastructure, governance, compliance and other ongoing costs.

No blocking objections remained.
