CMS Stopped Medicare Payments to California, and This Is How Gavin Newsom Responded

Newsom is an expert at wasting taxpayer money!
We have watched him do it for years!

Billions to a highspeed rail- all squandered with zero rail to show for it!

The list of fraud and waste is a long one!

For years he's been doing the same with Medicare for illegals, who are not entitled to a dime of our money.

CA is even trying to criminalize anyone trying to expose their fraud! 🙄

So if Gavin says he is trying working with the Trump admin, he is lying through his teeth!

He is doing the exact opposite!

There's is no way Newsom can flail his arms and spin his way out of this one! 😉

Yesterday, the Trump administration announced it was pausing more than $1 billion in federal Medicaid payments to Minnesota and California because of the suspected rampant fraud and noncompliance in both states. In a press conference with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) head Dr. Oz and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, it was announced that California will not receive $867 million until it can prove Medicaid and Medicare payments are legitimate.

Dr. Oz pointed out that California spending on in-home care went up 24 percent in the last two years, double the country's average. "California increased spending at twice the rate of the average of the rest of the entire nation," he said. "That doesn't make sense." Doubly so when you consider that California has had a net population loss over the last several years.

We all knew Gov. Gavin Newsom would respond to this pausing of payments, and he tried to blame President Trump for it. But it did not go well for Newsom, at all.

CMS said it was withholding payments for noncompliance, after requesting information and a plan to address Medicare/Medicaid from California months ago. Has the Newsom administration sent that plan to CMS? Is Newsom really working with the Trump administration he routinely bashes?

No! In fact they are doing the opposite!

So seriously, that the Democrats are trying to criminalize investigative journalism that exposes their corruption and fraud instead of, you know, addressing the corruption and fraud.

As Townhall, CBS, Jennifer Van Laar over at RedState, and others have reported, there is massive fraud and corruption in California. And it happened on Gavin Newsom's watch, and Newsom did nothing to fix it. Because he doesn't want to. He's fine with waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer dollars if it's done for the reasons he approves of and supports.

Key parts of the SAVE Act were passed along party lines to be brought to the floor for debate after putting them in the $95B budget reconciliation bill. It was a major end around the Democrats for Johnson and the Republicans.

🕊️ Have you ever felt exhausted- not just physically, but emotionally or spiritually? God never asks us to carry life's burdens in our own strength. His promise is that when we place our hope in Him, he renews us.

Isaiah 49:31 NIV
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. "

Isaiah reminds us that even the strongest people become tired, but God never grows weary. When we put our hope in Him- not in our own abilities, circumstances or the world- He provides strength that goes beyond what we can produce ourselves.

Notice the progression in the verse:
- Soar on wings like eagles- God gives us moments when He lifts us above life's storms.
- Run and not grow weary-
He empowers us to endure seasons of intense effort.
- Walk and not be faint- Even on ordinary days, when life feels slow and difficult, He faithfully sustains us.

Waiting on the Lord is not passive. It is trusting Him, seeking Him through prayer, and believing that His timing and His plans are always best.

Ask yourself:
- Where have I been relying on my own strength instead of God's?
- What burden do I need to surrender to Him today?
- How can I intentionally place my hope in the Lord this week?

God's strength is available every day to those who trust Him.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You that You never grow tired and that Your strength never fails. When I am weary, remind me to place my hope in You instead of myself. Renew my heart, strengthen my faith, and help me walk faithfully through every season. Lift me above fear, and discouragement, and let my life reflect the peace and confidence that come from trusting You.

Two Democrat candidates take cash from Epstein-tied megadonor after slamming 'Epstein class'

James Talarico and Sen. Jon Ossoff, D- Ga. both accepted money from Reid Hoffman, but they aren't the only ones!

Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I. also accepted money from him.

This is just like the Dems!

Two Democratic Senate candidates have received backlash for accepting donations from a Democrat megadonor with former ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

James Talarico and Sen. Jon Ossoff, D- Ga., who is running for re-election, have both received donations from Reid Hoffman, a billionaire who has admitted to spending time on Epstein’s Caribbean island, Fox News reported. Hoffman donated $11.5 million to a Talarico-aligned super PAC called Lone Star Rising, according to The Texas Tribune. Hoffman donated $7,000 to Ossoff’s campaign, the maximum legal amount.

"Democrats like Jon Ossoff and James Talarico vilify corporate billionaires in one breath and accept their cash in the next," a GOP operative who declined to be named told Fox News Digital. They’re fueling the same ‘money in politics’ gravy train they claim to oppose, he said.

Both Talarico and Ossoff have referred to the “Epstein class” when discussing billionaires. Talarico, for example, has said in an interview, “The Epstein Class has no place in Texas,” while Ossoff said in a news statement earlier this year that “MAGA […] is the Epstein class, ruling our country.”

In February, documents made public by the Trump administration’s Department of Justice showed Hoffman’s ties to Epstein, who killed himself after being held without bail in New York City on federal sex trafficking charges. The released documents did not allege criminal wrongdoing by Hoffman, but showed him planning visits to multiple Epstein properties, Just the News previously reported. One of the memos, from 2014, revealed that Hoffman spent the night at Epstein’s Manhattan town house, where many of the disgraced financier’s crimes were alleged to have taken place. Another memo suggested Hoffman was planning to spend a weekend at Epstein’s ranch in New Mexico and to travel to Little St. James, Epstein’s private island in the Caribbean.

In December, the Department of Justice (DOJ) publicly accused two other Democrats of taking Hoffman’s dark money. Then-Attorney General Pam Bondi testified a few months earlier to the Senate Judiciary Committee about releasing the Epstein files, during which she accused Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., and Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., of accepting Hoffman’s money, linking him to Epstein. At the time, Durbin, Whitehouse, and nine other Democrat senators claimed Bondi was evading questions about the Epstein files by falsely accusing them of accepting contributions from Hoffman.

But the DOJ’s letter in December stated that publicly available evidence showed Hoffman donated to Durbin and Whitehouse.

“[​The] evidence paints a clear picture that Reid Hoffman has established a dark-money empire that channels anonymous donations through nonprofits and PACs to influence federal elections and judicial nominations,” Assistant Attorney General Patrick Davis wrote to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.

The DOJ’s letter noted more than 1,650 contributions – over $76 million – from Hoffman to Democrats and Democrat-aligned causes, including the Rhode Island Democratic State Committee and $60,000 to the Democratic Party of Illinois.

Hoffman’s first known meeting with Epstein came on July 19, 2013, about five years after he pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution and procuring a minor for prostitution in Florida, Fox reported. The Wall Street Journal also reported that in 2014, Hoffman sent Epstein ice cream, with a note saying it was either for Epstein or “the girls.”

We Can't Believe Gavin Newsom Just Said This About California's Wildfire Management

If California is the model for wildfire control, then the whole world would be on fire! 😂

The only thing CA is a model for is waste, fraud, high taxes and perversion. 🙄

You have to admit that what Gavin Newsom lacks in brains and sound policy he makes up for in sheer hubris. That's the only reason that Newsom could say with a straight face that his state is a global model for fire management. Perhaps that's true in a sense; Canada was burning so much that people as far south as Virginia were seeing, smelling, and feeling the impacts.

That's because Canada, like California, refuses to do basic fire management like clearing brush and old growth. This is nothing to brag about, of course.

But brag Newsom did.

"I can say this with absolute conviction. We don't imitate; we're a model for others," Newsom said. "We have people coming from all over the United States and around the globe to look at what California is doing in orbit, in the air, and on the ground."

Los Angeles mother Maria Barrios Ventura was shot and killed by a stray bullet as she lay sleeping next to her 1-year-old daughter and her boyfriend. Her boyfriend said another 7 shots were fired, and Ventura died about 10 minutes after being shot in the head. Ventura has no local support for her 1-year-old daughter because all her family lives in Guatemala according to a GoFundMe for funeral expenses, and living expenses for the baby.

Egg Roll In A Bowl
Think of the crispy, savory goodness of a classic Chinese egg roll - then imagine it deconstructed into a lighter, healthier version. This egg roll in a bowl recipe has all the familiar flavors: savory pork, cabbage, garlic, onion, and ginger - minus the wrapper and deep frying. Ready in just 30 minutes, it’s a quick, one-skillet dinner perfect for busy weeknights. Fast, Easy, & Delicious!
Servings: 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 bunch scallions, thinly sliced, light and dark green parts separated
1½ tablespoons finely chopped fresh ginger from a 1½ in knob
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb ground pork (preferably 80% lean)
1 (1-lb) bag shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix (about 7 cups)
¼ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons sweet and sour sauce, plus more for serving (I use Kikkoman No Preservatives Added)
½ teaspoon sesame oil
⅓ cup salted cashews, chopped
Rice, for serving

Instructions:
In a large nonstick skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the light scallions and ginger and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Add the garlic and cook 20 seconds more; do not brown. Add the pork and continue cooking, breaking the meat apart with a wooden spoon, until browned, 3 to 5 minutes.
Add the coleslaw and soy sauce to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until wilted and cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes.
Stir in the sweet and sour sauce, sesame oil, cashews, and dark green scallions.
Taste and adjust seasoning, if desired.
Serve on rice with sweet and sour sauce on the side.
