A new cat species has been identified for the first time in over a century.

There is only one confirmed member of the species living in captivity - a cat found in Bolivia as a kitten, who is now around 10 years old and living at a wildlife sanctuary.

The NHS is failing people with learning disabilities and hospitals are 'unable to sufficiently treat and look after' them, says Baroness Louise Casey, the head of the government’s commission into adult social care.

In an exclusive interview with ITV News, Baroness Casey heavily criticised NHS treatment and attitudes, and said caring for people with learning disabilities is seen as a 'burden' by some health professionals, who 'do not see them' and 'do not hear them'.

Buckingham Palace has hit back at claims made by Earl Spencer, the brother of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, in a new book, with a spokesperson saying "fraternal grief can cloud reason".

It's alleged that just days after Diana's death in 1997, Charles - then the Prince of Wales - told her brother "rest assured, we'll forget her soon enough", during a discussion about funeral arrangements in which Prince William and Prince Harry, then aged 15 and 12, walked behind their mother's coffin.

England and Wales need significant rainfall to end the drought, with groundwater reservoir levels continuing to decline.

Above-average rainfall is needed until April next year to come out of drought, with the Environment Agency saying around 120% of typical rainfall is required over the next seven months for all areas to recover.

The Environment Agency said that despite some wet weather during the first half of September, almost three-quarters of England remains in drought, following an exceptionally dry spring and summer, as well as a succession of heatwaves.
