After a beloved street vendor was assaulted in Downtown Los Angeles, her son launched a GoFundMe to help her recover and get back on her feet. In the days since the attack, the community has raised over $120,000 to help her do just that.

In an update posted to Instagram, her son said, "Our mom is home resting, and we are overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity you have shown us. Your support is helping ensure she receives the care she needs as she continues to recover during this difficult time."
