The official twitter account for Go To Hear. A crowd-driven music platform and ecosystem with the power to change the music industry for the better, forever.
Points out why ER must be paid for passive streams: “…responsible copyright policy should recognize that equitable remuneration should consider both simple interactivity & complex algorithmic… playlists”
Essential for performers, the music industry & @mrtomgray ’s headache.
Anyone watch ‘The Playlist’ on Netflix yet? Interesting watch. Seems like a good time to remind everyone it takes 315 streams on Spotify for an artist to make $1. Feel like that needs to be more well known to the public.
We caught up with Ron "@bumblefoot" Thal, the guitar maestro who's played with bands like @gunsnroses and @originalasia. Watch as he shares his favorite music memories, lessons from the road, and more! Stream this #AtHomeAndSocial for free here: https://t.co/edd3SuYnrH
@shockadelicaust Also, an Artists tracks can streamed for 30 seconds, to have a listen before a paid stream or purchase. There's multiple ways to earn on the platform by helping an Artist with successful marketing etc. Also, more Crypto rewards coming soon ....
@shockadelicaust There are parts of the site you can browse without creating an account - the "Buzz" blog, & some links from the footer. One of those links tells you a bit about what we are trying to do - treat Musicians fairly, hence why an Artists tracks can't just be played without an account.
@shockadelicaust Sorry you've had this experience. There are certain things setup on the platform to help keep accounts secure; the 60 minute timeout being one. But, you can request it again.
A short break from music making while I get these classic British Castle speakers renovated for the studio. Just a re-foam on the woofers and they'll be good as new! (And that's a 6 string balalaika in case you're asking 😁)
