Rubyist Muso, dog adorist. I like dumb movies and long, agile walks to the kitchen. Call me what you want but consider carefully what you call others. Big love.
This thread speaks volumes about inclusive hiring practises, good, bad and ugly. Focussing on hoop jumping and "every waking hour" programmers subsets your hiring pool in the worst way. When recruiting we should focus on completeness as a human and that can take many forms. https://t.co/whV81msJVW
van Egmond in there doing…..nothing really. Again. Gustavsson proving risk aversion is an A+ strategy to underperformance. Turning the girls into Midtildas.
Let me just loop in “FUCKING EVERYBODY” for context, so there is absolutely no hope of resolving this discussion before the sun implodes.

the problem with work life balance discussion at companies with large age spreads is that everyone >30 just wants a fake high paying job so they can spend time with their families and everyone <30 wants to do Important Work to attach their identity to in the absence of love
@simplyenergy I get that the best option we have for customer support in 2023 is impersonal, autogen JIRA/SF ticket creation responses. But motherofgod, you switched my neighbour’s power and you’re sharing their data with me. Please sort it out. This embarrassing for everyone.
The latest spate of redundancies is interestingly lop sided. Had a look for all the announcements of board member resignations and just couldn't find any. It's really strange? It's almost like boards can push CEOs into scaling strategies bordering on lunacy without consequence.
The next greatest threat to the retail sector surely has to be shop owners sharing their piss weak views on whether Covid is real or not.
As much as I dislike online shopping, it’s becoming ever more attractive to avoid dealing with The Dumbs.
@Kogan Is it usual for customers to get the run around with returns and refunds?
I tried to escalate a problem and not only is it impossible to contact your team, the links you provide are circular.
We’ve spent more than 40% of the last 18 months in lockdown. I’m exhausted.
I’m angry.
I am constantly oscillating between near tears and wanting to burn everything.
@ehjc Never underestimate the power of the munter to derail things. Our current lockdown was triggered by a removalist from NSW who tested positive, traveled to VIC and worked without a mask, in an apartment building.
Staying inside is 💯 rational.
