“I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.” James Baldwin
Sisters and friends,
I'm pleased to be able to confirm that my complaint to The Telegraph has now been settled.
They have published this correction to Nicole Lampert's article which admits that the context of my tweet was misrepresented and rescinds the defamatory implication
@GyllKing Yep, no wonder the right-wing religious conservatives love them.
Transphobia served by “feminists” is more palatable to the public.
In the end it’s still hate.
@spectator You’d be hard pressed to find a member of the Paul Marshall Universe who thinks the Labour government is doing a sterling job.
Y.E 31.12.25:
“813,000 people migrated into the UK and 642,000 emigrated from it, resulting in net migration of 171,000.” (ONS)
@tylerblack32@JusDayDa Well, blueberries and green tea are not enough.
Pretty sure Marjorie researched the best and safest clinic for her treatment.
But did her MAGA brain ask where the stem cells come from?

Guess the Tories will have to campaign on their 14 years legacy from now on. 😱
@Th_Angelopoulos@Katie_Lam_MP Lam MP has obviously spent taxpayer money on good lighting, that golden gloss looks expensive.
Her target audience does not care about facts.
@MerrynSW He doesn’t have to make an effort.
If you have shot yourself in the foot and can’t move, “the permanence of the change” is pretty obvious.
Brexit exposed how utterly deluded the UK was about its own power and place in the world. Mugged by reality.
WATCH: @edzitron absolutely destroy the AI narrative by explaining these AI companies have no way to be profitable.
(My personal theory is Elon Musk is rushing to take SpaceX public because he plans merge with Dario's Anthropic as a way to destroy Sam Altman)
@MerrynSW@BritainUnbound 10 years on, the Brexit Battalion Media corps has trouble with numbers.
52% of the UK is ok with rejoining.
62% wants to stay outside of the EU but with closer ties.
48% is ok with the current snafu.
@BritainUnbound@vivamjm@OpiniumResearch@ObserverUK Weird, same poll:
“the UK rejoining the EU”
Preferable: 36%
Acceptable 16%
So a total of 52% of the UK is ok with rejoining.
And 63% wants to stay outside of the EU but with closer ties, like a single market?
Mysterious ‘cold blob’ in the Atlantic suggests the AMOC is weakening
A patch of ocean south-east of Greenland is the only place on Earth that is cooling, and it could be a sign that the warm water “conveyor belt” in the Atlantic is slowing down

The funny thing with Telegraph money is that you have to read the articles, not just the headline.
The couple earns close to £300,000 a year, but declares itself too broke to have children.
It’s hard to fathom how crazy the system is after £100k. There is effectively a *60%* rate on £100-125k (because you lose tax allowance) as well as losing taxing free childcare, free child hours.
Should obviously be rectified.
@AaronBastani I remember this couple, but as always, the devil is in the details.
They earn £305,000 a year.
£125,000+&100,000 + £80,000 from Airbnb. Too broke, totally.
