A mobile health care team in Saint John is making a difference for vulnerable individuals who are unhoused or at risk of being unhoused. The team provides vital services, including primary care such as wound treatment, immunizations, blood tests, and counseling. They also offer mental health and addiction support, while also helping people connect with housing services. By meeting people where they are — at encampments and community sites — this team is delivering flexible, community-based care with timely intervention.
