Grafintec is pursuing to deliver a sustainable Finnish graphite-based supply chain that can provide transparent ‘security of supply’ and enable self-sufficiency
This time last year, #BEM & @Grafintec completed the GAMP PFS, confirming the project’s strong economics and low‑cost, high‑margin potential. Since then, a site reservation has been secured in Keltakallio, an emerging hub in Europe’s growing battery value chain.
@BeowulfMining Good momentum across our Finnish projects over the past month. Recent work continues to strengthen our case for securing graphite anode self-sufficiency. See full announcement (eng/fin) with presentation links ➡️ https://t.co/p3naNtpGQk
Beowulf and @Grafintec have advanced activity across Finland in April, participating in the Power Coast Summit, hosting public meetings at the Aitolampi and Rääpysjärvi graphite projects, and completing the preliminary technical study for Aitolampi ➡️ https://t.co/4Qqivcqpr6
Data from @Benchmarkmin shows that China will remain the dominant refiner across critical minerals by 2030. 71% of natural #graphite will be refined in China despite the current efforts by the US and the EU to develop and improve processing capabilities. (image: @VisualCap)
The second of #BEM and @Grafintec's exploration assets is Rääpysjärvi. Extensive surface sampling, including trenching and geophysics, has been undertaken indicating the potential for Rääpysjärvi to be at least as large as Aitolampi at possibly higher grade - samples > 50% TGC.
#BEM and @Grafintec's Finland operations include highly prospective exploration assets. Aitolampi is one of Europe's largest flake graphite deposits hosting 26.7Mt at 4.8% total graphitic carbon and test-work has demonstrated it is amendable to upgrading to battery grade graphite
What makes Kotka an ideal location for @Grafintec's GAMP?
• An industrial area with excellent infrastructure for large-scale battery facilities
• Access to water and low-cost renewable energy
• Access to Finland's largest container port
• Skilled workforce
Key objectives from the GAMP pilot testing phase will be:
⛏️Demonstrating scalability
⛏️Qualifying with potential end-users
Upon test phase completion, #BEM and @Grafintec will look to secure off-take agreements to underpin the financing for a full commercial plant.
#BEM is pleased to provide an update on its corporate activities and operational progress in Sweden and Finland, including its funding strategy, mining fleet optimisation studies, sustainability strategies and project support applications.

In Finland, @Grafintec is focused on the construction and operation of a pilot plant as part of the Graphite Anode Materials Plant pilot testing phase. Its development strategy includes the completion of a DFS & EIA and application for an Environmental Permit.
#Graphite is a critical component in most next-gen Advanced Modular Reactors, which will play a key role in achieving the EU's ambition to expand nuclear power to 109 GW by 2050. @Grafintec has a portfolio of projects, including one of Europe's largest flake graphite resources.
(1/3) #BEM, and its subsidiary @Grafintec, are pleased to provide an update on the development of Grafintec’s GAMP and exploration portfolio in #Finland. An initial public meeting was held in Keltakallio to present GAMP to local residents ➡️https://t.co/LclRFpZz9t
Did you know that up to 98% of lithium-ion battery anodes are made from #graphite? As demand for EVs and lithium-ion batteries surge, a secure graphite supply chain becomes more crucial. #BEM and @Grafintec's GAMP and graphite exploration projects can aid in providing this supply
(1/2) To support the development of @Grafintec’s GAMP, #BEM has applied for a tax credit, totalling €131.5m over 11 years, through @BusinessFinland’s scheme aimed at promoting large clean-transition investments. A decision is expected by end of 2025 ➡️ https://t.co/kgtFkoBDHk
(1/5) #BEM announces its unaudited financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2025, during which a £2.2m capital raise was completed to fund the continued development of the company's projects ➡️ https://t.co/RcRXwehq75
Graphite is a great electrical conductor and an essential component of battery anodes. This property is a result of the unique arrangment of carbon atoms. #BEM, and it's 100% owned subsidiary @Grafintec, are aiming to provide a European supply of graphite anode materials.
(1/3) #BEM’s wholly owned Finnish subsidiary, @Grafintec, has signed an initial 12-month site reservation agreement with the City of Kotka in southern Finland, with the possibility for extensions, marking a major step in the establishment of the GAMP ➡️ https://t.co/3eXmkaXO8s
We are pleased to announce that Grafintec has signed a site reservation agreement with the City of Kotka in southern Finland. The agreement secures a site in the Keltakallio industrial area, marking a major step forward in the establishment of the GAMP. ➡️ https://t.co/3cFZPGivSJ
