A new £3.2m Wastewater Treatment Works has been completed in Monea, Co. Fermanagh👏
Delivered over two years, the new facility will improve wastewater services for the local community while supporting future growth in the area.
What makes this project particularly interesting is its nature-based approach, using aerated reed beds to treat wastewater to a high standard, while also helping to improve water quality in the Monea River and Lower Lough Erne.
A strong collaborative effort with @niwnews and RPS Tetratech, and a great example of how infrastructure can deliver both environmental and long-term community benefits.

🏥 New Clinical Building Completed at Birmingham Children’s Hospital 🏥
GRAHAM has completed the main phase of works for a major new clinical building at Birmingham Children’s Hospital for Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust - a significant milestone that will transform care for children and young people across the region.
Awarded through @NHSEngland's ProCure23 framework, this three‑storey facility brings state-of-the-art clinical advancements, including:
🔹 An intraoperative MRI (iMRI) suite, fully funded by charitable donations, enabling real‑time imaging during surgery
🔹 Operating theatres and recovery facilities, boosting surgical capacity and reducing waiting times
🔹 A ground-water heat plant supporting sustainable energy use across the wider hospital site
This was a technically challenging project due to its location within a live clinical environment, surrounded by operational theatres where the slightest vibration or noise could disrupt critical care. Meticulous planning, continuous monitoring and close collaboration with the Trust’s Estates Team were essential to delivering the project safely and successfully.
