For those looking for a midsummer scream timed summer horror story, at 7.30pm BST I'll be dropping my new horror story 'The Knife Sharpening Man' on youtube narrated and with audio by the fantastic Bazamalam

Wow. An incredible day.
An honour to view the manuscript of ‘Oh Whistle and I’ll Come To You My Lad’ yesterday. One of the seminal ghost stories of all time, now at @KingsCanterbury
Big thanks to Kings for the visit - and great to hang out with @Mummified_Fairy and Prof BC!
Ahead of Sleepy Hollow’s 25th Anniversary on 19/11/24 I paid a visit to the vast estate of ‘Culden Faw,’ location of the film’s exterior town shots in Hambleden, Bucks. An incredible place, full of atmosphere and very New York State-esque. Many pheasants, luckily zero horseman…
Have just been on possibly THE WORST ghost tour I’ve ever been on (and I’ve been on a lot) so may have to extend Halloween to December in order to balance things out.
My Borley Rectory advent calendar is now available! Featuring lots of my spooky illustrations including a few brand new ones created for the calendar… I’ll post the link in the next tweet ⬇️ as the reach yesterday was a bit rubbish… thanks for all the orders so far!
Also looking forward to showing off the stunning illustrations that Brian Coldrick created for Early Haunts on the big screen for my adaptation of ‘The Wild Huntsman’ the very story which inspired Washington Irving’s Sleepy Hollow!
Like most people, all I want for Halloween is a 25th Anniversary @cineworld 4DX screening of 'Sleepy Hollow' so I can be thrown about and imagine a Hessian is coming for my head. Is that really too much to ask?
THE HEXHAM HEADS - In 1976, early-evening magazine show Nationwide reported on a real-life folk horror story, featuring mysterious stone heads and paranormal activity. Dr Anne Ross was interviewed and claimed a Werewolf invaded her home!
So a pretty exciting update :
I’ve located both the beach and pub locations from the first adaptation of M R James’ ‘Oh Whistle and I’ll Come To You!”
Currently working on shooting a short film to cover the locations - took years but worth it
Snapped whilst out on a bus today, the legendary Ingress Abbey in Kent. Thought to be inspiration behind Carfax Abbey in Bram Stokers’ Dracula. Weirdly located amidst a housing estate ( didn’t stop to see if they had a mental asylum attached )
Reece & I are truly overwhelmed with the love being shown to #InsideNo9 right now and throughout its 10 year run. Working with such talent on both sides of the camera has been an unparalleled privilege and joy & your reactions to the eps made my heart sing ❤️
