It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of a much-loved member of the Great Yorkshire Show family, Margaret Chapman.

A former President of the Society and Chief Cattle Steward at the Show, Margaret will be sorely missed.

Great Yorkshire Show visitors helped raise a record-breaking donation to #charity! Proceeds from the Cheese Auction = £12,502, split between @samaritans & @YorkshireAirAmb. The largest amount ever raised, thanks to match-funding by @HSBC_UK in support of Yorkshire Air Ambulance

**Traffic Update**

Following the earlier RTC, the A1(M) and the A59 have now reopened.

**Traffic Update** As a result of the diversionary measures in place following the earlier RTC Oatlands Drive, Hookstone Road and Wetherby Road from the town centre are extremely busy as the parking staff deal with the extra volume of traffic from that direction. 2/2

**Traffic Update** The A1(M) southbound at J47 Allerton Park has reopened with a diversion in place along the A168. Please follow the diversionary and GYS signs. The A1 northbound slip road and the A59 towards Harrogate remain closed. 1/2

**Traffic Update** Diversions are in place expect long delays. A59 between J47 and Falaxby roundabout is closed in both directions. 2/2

**Traffic Update** There has been a serious RTC on A59 between J47 and Flaxby roundabout. J47 A1(M) at Allerton Park is now closed to all traffic north and southbound there is no exit from this junction. 1/2

There has been a serious RTC on A59 between J47 and Flaxby roundabout with the road partially blocked. It may result in a road closure and diversions and is likely to impact on traffic attending the Great Yorkshire Show from York and A1 North and South.
