Thanks to all who checked out my pinned wind property tax post. Here's the TLDR version. Update- this project has now been in operation for 18 years. I projected $15 million annually un taxed in 2016, so now it's possibly closing in on $300 million not taxed.
@BenRiensche@NorwoodJohn@kkevergreen If John gets elected, I'd appreciate if he would look into wind turbine taxation. I think there might be some issues there. And what Ben says... sorry to hijack a thread Ben.

@Ck27126422@ZachLahn I really hope Zach talks more about the Iowa AGs that have declined to intervene in some mergers in Iowa like he mentioned at the campaign stop I went to.
@Ck27126422@ZachLahn Not surprised Scholten would say this, as he said he would support gun bans while in Ames, while saying he was pro 2nd amend . He also mentioned he supported antitrust... kind of hard to believe him after the 2nd amendment waffling. Another guy Feenstra mopped the floor with.
@Ck27126422 In case you haven't seen this. I heard Zach say this at a the campaign event I went to, but I thought I would let Zach speak for himself. @ZachLahn
From my pinned post. Maybe someone will ask Rob Sand what became of this. and it would be nice if that state rep. that said "I got told not to look into that" would elaborate.
I also asked DOR for additional information that they said they couldn't provide, because I believe there are more issues than I have discussed here so far.
just like all industries they end up cannibalizing their competitors and the “big four” or whatever control 80% of the industry.
the game is rigged this way and Government also rather have it this way - why try controlling 10,000+ independent entities when they can give marching orders to 4?

@Ck27126422 And it started already. Guy that feenstra mopped the floor with , and thinks he helped weaken feenstra... 😏 has thoughts. Why did he lose in this district ?
@Ck27126422 I've had a bunch of concerns with both parties in IA over the years. Frankly I'm looking forward to ZL shaking things up. Given the things he has said about concentration in Iowa, I also expect Sand corporate contributions to 🚀
@Ck27126422 Check my pinned post for Rob Sand. Don't think he would have got state auditor if state Republicans would funded his incumbent challenger 🤔 Hmmm. now why would they cut off funding for an office they held. I have a theory.🙂 Some Rob Sand funding stuff - Cough , soros, cough
@Ck27126422 Feenstra was at the state legislature When I spent time there. Never discussed any issues with him, but definitely did not care for some of the lobbyists 🦨 he seemed chummy with. IMO Feenstra didn't put much of an effort into the guv race.
