This cheap vegetable has fixed more gut health problems than most supplements have ever done
Carrots. Raw
- They contain insoluble fiber. A type of fiber bacteria can't ferment in the gut
While soluble fiber can cause gas, bloating, and discomfort in people with slow transit, insoluble fiber just passes through the whole intestine, as if it was brooming all residue out of your body
- Falcarinol and falcarindiol
These are natural polyacetylenes in the root with documented antibacterial activity, helping you clear excess bacteria. Less bacterial load means less endotoxin load
They also have antifungal properties
- Carrots help clear waste the liver already dumped into bile
They help the bile excrete inflammatory agents like estrogen and heavy metals by preventing the reabsorption of these on the way out. The reduced inflammation also suppresses serotonin production in the gut
Cooked carrots lose most of these properties
You can shred the carrots lengthwise to keep the fibers whole, or shred them more finely if your gut is more delicate
White vinegar, salt and coconut oil synergize with the antimicrobial properties. But you can add whatever you want to it
I personally do finely shredded, with just lemon and salt
Avoiding toxic seed oils takes considerably more than avoiding the bottle.

The animals are the giveaway. Feed a chicken or a pig soy and maize and its fat turns into the feed.
A cow does not work that way. The rumen hydrogenates polyunsaturated fat before it ever reaches the carcass, so the fat comes out saturated no matter what the animal grazed.
Butter, tallow, lamb, milk, cheese. Around 2 per cent linoleic acid, every time, with a mechanism guaranteeing it.
Nothing else on the shelf comes with that guarantee.
Which is exactly why ruminant meat and dairy are the uncontested elite foods for humanity.
Best tools to heal the gut lining:
Gelatin/collagen/bone broth, sodium butyrate or tributyrin, lactoferrin, zinc carnosine, BPC-157, KPV, larazotide, glutamine, NAC, S. boulardii, L. reuteri, Megasporebiotic, Florassist, Iberogast, slippery elm bark, marshmallow root, DGL, aloe vera, curcumin phytosome, boswellia phytosome, citrus peels, B-vitamins, vitamin D3 and K2, tolerable fibers, binders (activated charcoal or bentonite clay)
By no means an exhaustive list, and the details of implementation matter. Diet and lifestyle interventions are presupposed.
The main goal is increasing energy (supporting epithelial cells, tight junctions, gut mucus, immunity, motility, digestive secretion)
and lowering stress (reducing systemic immune activation/inflammation, pathogens, undigested food, endotoxin/LPS, toxin load)
to improve nutrient absorption and keep everything else out.
@mosseri I would appreciate your help getting back into my instagram account. Your support team said there is a known glitch related to 2 step verification and not being able to receive access codes to log in yet could not help me. Where does that leave me? Please help. Thanks 🙏
