Today I turn 88โฆIโve seen some serious shit. The most serious of it all is love. I love my family, my friends, and my wonderful fans. The power of love remains.
Somebody on the 'CRYSTAL LAKE' set couldnโt resist giving Jason his hockey mask. And now we get to see it.

Dude was in over 400 movies. He did EVERYTHING. Big action films, indie horror, tv.
Before Ari Aster broke in, Richard Riehle would lead one of his short films the same year he was in 13 movies. He could hold his own with any A-lister.

I'm so dumb, I wanted to re-read Carrie so I ordered a copy only for it to be in Spanish because I quite literally judged the book by its sweet fucking cover and didn't notice it said Spanish Edition ๐ญ๐ญ
@MechaMyers Yeah, Shudder and Sundance are being removed from the AMC+ subscription, but not to worry, we'll still keep charging you the same amount. What the heck?
I guess you could argue that he's "supernaturally fast," but I don't think we need confirmation that the intention was that he teleports in Jason Takes Manhattan. It's very obvious that's what they were going for, just without explaining how or why.
@linkfan1954 makes an excellent point that he didn't teleport onto the boat or into Manhattan, but the rules the filmmakers seem to have set up for this power is that it's not something he can do without limitation and also, it only seems to activate when he's predating, so perhaps the intention was as an instinctual superpower.
For anyone thinking they probably didn't put that much thought into it, I doubt that. He very deliberately teleports several times throughout the movie and it has a very consistent style to it. This was for sure very specifically discussed and storyboarded.

I understand it sucks when you actually know the people, and I also understand that there's something grotesque about profiting off other people's misery, but I like crime docs, learning about true stories, reading non-fiction, etc.
There is a natural morbid curiosity in it, sure, but I actually find it healthy and greatly cathartic to get perspective about tragedy in the world.
I can look at this kind of content too much to the point of making myself sick, but I would argue in some ways it helps more than it hurts, usually.
