Yes sir, our Balti community living there is facing many difficulties. Pakistan has kept the region under its control, but basic facilities and development are still lacking. We have seen the difference ourselves, as people from our area have lived through these conditions. In contrast, the areas liberated in 1971 today have much better infrastructure, connectivity, and public services. Here, people have access to electricity almost 24 hours a day, which shows the clear difference in development and governance. Jai Hind 🇮🇳
The historic breakthrough of Zoji La Tunnel, a dream project of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, will prove to be a game changer in the development journey of Ladakh. This would significantly strengthen connectivity in the border regions of Ladakh and provide year-round connectivity with rest of India.
Thank you Hon’ble Minister @nitin_gadkari ji, for making this project possible and for supporting Ladakh with new road infrastructure projects, that would improve tourism in the UT, create new livelihood avenues and bolster our collective efforts for sustainable development in the high-altitude regions of Ladakh.
Good afternoon everyone 🌞
Must watch Zojila Eastern Portal | Live from Breakthrough Ceremony of the Zojila Tunnel & Press Conference on official YouTube channel of Hon'ble @nitin_gadkari ji👇👇👇👇

A Historic Day for Ladakh After Independence! 🤗
Since becoming a Union Territory, Ladakh's pace of development has increased significantly. Roads are now reaching remote villages, basic infrastructure is improving, and connectivity is becoming stronger than ever before. Today marks another important milestone in this journey of progress.
A major achievement has been reached in the ₹6,500-crore Zojila Tunnel project, with more than 13 kilometers of excavation now completed. Once finished, the tunnel will provide all-weather connectivity between Srinagar and Ladakh throughout the year, making travel easier, boosting tourism, increasing trade, and giving a new push to the local economy.
This is not just a tunnel; it is a significant step toward a brighter future, better connectivity, and sustained development for Ladakh. For the people of Ladakh, it is a historic moment that will play an important role in the region's progress and prosperity for generations to come.
The people of Ladakh should certainly continue to raise their legitimate concerns and demands. However, it is equally important to acknowledge and appreciate historic development projects such as this. Rather than focusing only on minor issues and constant criticism, we should also recognize major achievements that are helping build a better future for the coming generations. Criticism and suggestions have their place, but when positive and transformative work is being done, it deserves appreciation and encouragement as well.
Thank you Hon'ble PM @narendramodi ji Hon'ble @nitin_gadkari ji @lg_ladakh@ashishkundra 🇮🇳♥️🙏
The so-called elections in Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan are now over, and there are also reports and allegations of irregularities in the vote-counting process. However, neither the people nor the media expect any real change. There is little hope that major issues such as inflation, unemployment, poor education, inadequate healthcare facilities, and especially the 22-hour daily load shedding will be resolved. Local journalists from Gilgit-Baltistan are openly saying the same on Pakistani TV channels. Do listen to what they have to say.

I was truly shocked to see that in Khaplu, Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan, a truck that fell into a gorge could not be recovered even after 17 days. What is even more unfortunate is that local people are reportedly having to collect donations themselves to arrange its recovery.
In contrast, if such an accident occurs in Ladakh, the authorities do not waste even an hour. The civil administration, the Indian Army @adgpi, and the @BROindia respond quickly and mobilize the necessary machinery and resources for rescue and recovery operations. Incidents like this highlight the lack of infrastructure and administrative capacity in the region and raise serious questions about the condition in which people are forced to live.

While our faiths differ, थर Pothwari DNA (which runs in my blood, too) is infamous for making ppl strong willed and bull headed. @OfficialDGISPR has just dug its grave a bit deeper!
Remember Porus from this soil?
PoJK unrest is not new—it’s a recurring outcome of unresolved grievances. As people demand basic rights, jobs, and fair access to resources, the question remains: why do the promises never translate into action?
When development is delayed and voices are ignored, frustration inevitably returns to the streets. #PoJK #HaqooqDoPoJK #PublicProtest
These petroglyphs tell a story - of humankind .. from hunter gatherers to evolved sentient beings. Yet one thing stands out .. even centuries ago the urge to express through the visual medium .. even chiseling solid rock .. was constant. #Ladakh stories along the Indus
