The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to integrate Electoral Education into university curricula and promote voter awareness among youth nationwide.

HEC will facilitate coordination, while ECP will provide the necessary resources and support to strengthen electoral education and voter awareness.

Chairman HEC Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar met H.E. Dr. Syed Ali Asad Gilani, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, to discuss collaboration with Chinese universities, including agriculture graduate training and six-month study programmes for Pakistani graduates in China.

Both sides discussed enhancing the capacity building of Pakistani faculty and researchers in emerging fields, including AI and its applications in agriculture, smart manufacturing, and transportation, as well as cybersecurity, quantum computing, robotics, and machine learning.
