Sean Murray says the original plan was to reveal more of Light No Fire just six months after the Game Awards 2023 reveal, but the game rocketed up Steam's wishlist charts and the team decided that was enough.
"I don't think people realize just how ambitious it is and how crazy it is," he told Kotaku. "And I look forward to people finding that out and to showing them. But I'm very happy right now just working on it in my own little cave and not having to worry about anything, trying to pretend the outside world doesn't exist right now."

No Man's Sky studio boss Sean Murray says he's in no rush to experiment with AI and is enjoying developing games the way they've always been made.
"Like, I'm like reading about, you know, I don't know, EA's just been bought by the Saudis," he told Kotaku. "And they're like, don't worry, we're going to save billions because we're going to all use AI. Right? And I sort of sit there and think, cool, good luck. You know, let's see how that works out. I will watch from afar."
