NE has purchased a portion of the Hexton Manor Estate and HMBG will be working with BBG to start surveying the bats there this year. It's absolutely beautiful with chalk streams and valleys and will hopefully one day have much of it restored to species-rich chalk grassland.
Bat care heroes in Hertfordshire successfully flight testing Berni in our flight cage. Berni has been undergoing rehab for the last 11 months after being caught by a cat and was recently successfully released back into the wild!

A building is being restored in West Sussex, by the Vincent Wildlife Trust, for what may be the first breeding colony of the rare greater horseshoe bat in the county.
