As Hyderabad grows, so does the need to improve mobility at critical junctions.

Based on recommendations from the Traffic Police, HGCL has undertaken traffic improvement measures at the My Home Avatar Junction to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow. The works include a new U-turn and vehicular underpass arrangement, enabling smoother movement between the Right and Left Service Roads while reducing traffic conflicts at the junction.

To facilitate these improvements, a 34-metre section of the Cycle Track roof has been removed. The Cycle Track remains fully operational, with uninterrupted connectivity maintained through an at-grade crossing at this location, similar to other open sections along the corridor.

Improving traffic flow while ensuring safe and continuous access for all road users remains at the heart of Hyderabad's mobility planning.

Transforming Connectivity in West Hyderabad!

The Bachupally Flyover, developed by HMDA, was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri. A. Revanth Reddy Garu, on 8 June 2026.

Spanning 1.3 km with a 4-lane carriageway, the ₹65.53 crore project is set to ease traffic congestion, improve road safety, reduce travel time, and enhance connectivity along the busy Miyapur–Gandimaisamma corridor, benefiting thousands of commuters every day.

Built at the intersection of Kukatpally Nala and Yousufguda Nala, HMDA's Rain Garden stretches across 400 metres of transformed urban waterway — planted with native species like vetiver, canna, and typha latifolia to let stormwater flow naturally and keep the nala clean. Walk along shaded tracks, cross over small bridges, rest on stepped green lawns, and come back after dark to see it lit up beautifully.

Highlight: A functioning wetland in the middle of the city — where a stormwater drain became a green public space. HMDA's pilot Rain Garden, now a model replicated across Hyderabad.

Located on the southern edge of Hyderabad, this lake has sustained the land around Raviryala for generations. Today, HMDA has transformed it into a living, accessible public space — with a 1,600-metre bund pathway, safe walkways, landscaped slopes, seating, and open green space for the entire neighbourhood.
