Our work with young people helps build the next generation of artists; musicians, singers, actors, directors, or technical crew. It is vital that pipelines to these careers are kept open and we're sad to hear about the suspension of Music courses at the University of Nottingham.

With just 2 weeks until our performance of Matthew King’s ‘Odyssean Variations’ in celebration of our 30th Anniversary, a couple of our CYMH orchestra students shared with us their thoughts on the upcoming performance.

'One Spirit' plays a crucial role in intervention, helping divert young people away from criminality and towards positive pathways, igniting sector change through its therapeutic effects on mental health of combining music and mentoring in custody and on release.

Our CYMH and I Can Sing! students are currently hard at work rehearsing for our upcoming performance of Matthew King's ‘Odyssean Variations’ on 12th July in celebration of our 30th Anniversary.

The evening features two tellings of Odysseus' journey, performed through song by I Can Sing!, and Matthew King's 'Odyssean Variations' commissioned by HMDT Music for internationally acclaimed cellist Natalie Clein who joins us alongside the CYMH orchestra and I Can Sing! choir.
