The Defence Secretary @JohnHealey_MP visited @HMNBPortsmouth yesterday to hear from a variety of @RoyalNavy personnel about their experiences and contributions to operations around the world.

He also got to thank the crew of @HMSDiamond which recently returned from the Red Sea.

Diamond's 💎 Marine Engineering department is the backbone of our ship. Providing propulsion, power generation, and habitability, Marine Engineers maintain powerful engines and complex marine systems.

Diamond's 💎 Flight team provide anti-surface and submarine warfare, reconnaissance, medical evacuations, and transport operations. This team of highly skilled aircrew and engineers use the Wildcat helicopter to support DIAMOND on operations.

Behind every great warship is an even greater Logistics Department. Diamond's 💎 Logs team support all we do: catering, stores, medical, replenishment at sea, counter chemical warfare, and HR services, all thousands of miles from home.

Close working relationships with coalition partners is vital. In an example of how close, 💎 recently conducted a ‘double RAS’ with USNS KANAWHA 🇺🇸 (50m apart) to simultanous embark stores and fuel by Replenishment At Sea.
