Premier in the first
Tower Bridge was raised in tribute to Admiral Sir Tony Radakin as the outgoing Chief of the Defence Staff marked the end of his 40-year career in defence with a trip on @HMS_Blazer, the P2000 he once commanded for the @RoyalNavy
Lastly, looking back over 40 years, I am more convinced than ever the Armed Forces offers an amazing career.
To those still serving or about to join... be bold, be ambitious, be demanding of yourselves and of your leadership. And always keep pushing to go further and faster.
After nearly four years’ service in the role, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin has left Defence HQ as Chief of the Defence Staff for the last time.
On behalf of the whole of Defence, we thank you for your service, sir.
Lt Jack Dilworth assumed command today in Norway from Lt Aaron Paul. We thank Lt Paul for his excellent work over the last 18 months, and wish him the very best for the future.
Exciting week for BLAZ and @HMS_Smiter participating in Project Acheron in the Bristol Channel showcasing how autonomous assets can be integrated into Maritime operations
Finally home! We reached the artic circle, got some blue noses, braved some less than ideal sea, got acquainted with some Norwegian fast attack craft and shot down some Wildcats. A massive thank you to all those who helped us generate with engineering and logistical support.
The hunter and the hunted!
Our crews are working hard to avoid anti-air weapon systems in the Fjords. Aggressor Squadron from RAF Spadeadam are supporting #TamberShield2024 by emulating Man-Portable Air-Defence (MANPAD) systems.

Great day yesterday with @815NAS@HMSTrumpeter@HMS_Biter@HMSExploit out in the Fjords. What better way to start the week than hide and seek with MANPADs and Missiles. Obviously no real world damaged caused to anything except pride on both sides.
