Stayed down. Trusted the work. One of the best two-way seasons in UTRGV history.
Southland Tournament up next.
Mission not finished.
Koree Cotton feels like a future NBA player to me.
He’s a good shooter, a good defender, and has real size.
The question is what his role looks like with less on-ball usage at DePaul. If the three-point volume rises, his stock could take off.
Josh Hayes is a 6'9 forward with a 7'5 wingspan and remains one of the best defensive prospects still available in the transfer portal. The Gainesville native spent his junior season with the Utah Utes where he started 10 of 32 games, averaging 2.8 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 block in just 13 minutes per game while shooting 66 percent from the field. Hayes’ defensive versatility was a key part of Utah’s rotation due to his outstanding length and quick footwork for a player his size. He consistently found success hedging and switching onto guards on the perimeter and showed the ability to recover and track down ball handlers for blocks at the rim. He also proved to be an extremely valuable weak-side rim protector, sending multiple shots out of play throughout the season. Around the basket, Hayes does a great job staying vertical and contesting shots without fouling, making him a reliable interior presence defensively. Offensively, Hayes is a solid screener with a natural feel for positioning himself for guards and teammates to find him around the rim. He has strong hands, finishes well through contact, and displays soft touch around the basket. His length and motor also make him a force on the offensive glass, where he consistently creates extra possessions and second-chance opportunities with putback finishes and contested rebounds. Any program that lands Hayes is getting a valuable defensive forward with two years of eligibility, elite physical tools, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to help his team win @joshuahayes53@HofSportsGroup@larryhalloffame@Uorangemen2@TransferPortal

Real PG1. Lefty that gets downhill, scores it at all 3 levels and makes plays for others. Plays with pace, rebounds, defends, competes.
One of the greatest adaptive powers we have as human beings is the ability to make choices. The key is to choose wisely and be prepared to recover & pivot to another choice if we selected poorly. #Choices
