I remember a choir member being asked to lead worship and the response he gave us was he did something bad and was unfit to lead worship.

It’s one thing to take a break for a while to work on yourself but when it becomes often, it’s time to fight.

Following my last post, RESOLUTION as the first stage to stopping an addiction is not by saying a careless “NO”.

It is more like Shouting a “NO” to your entire being. If you must overcome an addiction, there has to be a fierce and rugged determination.

The First Stage in fighting addiction is a RESOLUTION.

Daniel 1:8– Daniel resolved in his heart to not defile himself…. You must resolve in your heart that it is time you stop allowing a certain habit control you.

This is INTENTIONALITY.

I lived next to some young guys. Every morning at about 6am, I would hear their door open and one of them, come out to smoke. About 3 of the guys living there smoked. I worried so much that one that young was already addicted.

Freedom from the chains of addiction starts from a renewed mind. *Rom 12:2* says that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. Transformation begins from the mind.

A renewed mindset is not one that thinks it cannot be delivered. The renewed mind acknowledges that it can do all things through Christ. It does not operate in fear.

Proverbs 23:7– As a man thinkers in his heart, so is he. If we must fight and win over addiction, we have to operate with a renewed mindset.

The mindset plays a very important role in fighting addiction. If you think you cannot overcome that addiction, that might be the reality.

Sometimes we make a mountain out of an addiction and tell ourselves this one is too hard. However, it’s important to note this; for every addiction, there is a specific route to take to breakthrough from it.

To prevent seeing unsolicited pornography content while surfing the web or trying to download movies.. Try on ad-blockers.

I use U-block origin and it is really helpful. You can try this out as well💚.

Did you know most addictions especially porn start of as mistakes. Pop-us while surfing the web has left many as pornography addicts. Some people just wanted to download a movie and that was it.
