Happy World Book Day! We are celebrating with a variety of activities at Valley for Year 7 and 8: a charity Bake Sale to raise money for Amaze and The Story Trail; origami hedgehog workshop (after school); Sparx Reader reward certificates and imagination themed assemblies.

Congratulations to our Year 10 Boys Football Team!

We’re thrilled to announce that they are the League 2 Champions! Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork have paid off, and they will be promoted to League 1 for next season!

Highlights from the night included Tegan and Juliette winning their heats in the 50m Freestyle and Dylan who finished 3rd overall and Floyd who finished 4th overall in the boys Year 7/8 50m Freestyle.  A brilliant evening and a great team performance from everyone involved.

Running Numbers and wrist bands for the Hove Park School Fun Run! Next week over 200 students will be running 5k in the Annual Hove Park School Fun Run. The closing date for entries is this Friday, 21st March at 4pm!!!!

We have students that follow many different religions at Hove Park School, and we value the diversity we have. We hope to follow this with more student led assemblies that celebrate the different cultures and religions in our student cohort.

Students from the Year 9 Equalities group delivered an assembly to educate their peers about Ramadan. The students demonstrated incredible maturity, and the assembly was extremely informative.

Girls from Year 7 and 8 took part in a Try Tag rugby taster session today. They developed passing and running skills and ended with a very competitive game of tag!

Many of the girls have never played rugby before, but really excelled and showed an incredibly fast progression with their understanding of the game. We hope to be able to offer more sessions soon, as the girls said they had a fantastic afternoon.

There was a fantastic array of baked goods, and students raised £66, which is fantastic. Thanks to all the students and their families who supported this event.

Students from the Year 7 and 8 equalities groups organised a rainbow bake sale to raise money for Stonewall, a charity that advocates for the LGBTQ+ community.

This followed on from student led assemblies in February to celebrate LGBTQ+ month, where students educated their peers about how to be an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
