I DON'T EVEN HAVE WORDS TO DESCRIBE HYDERABAD'S TERRIBLE LUCK! 😭
Once again this year, Hyderabad has narrowly missed out on a crazy, widespread downpour spell by just inches! 🌧️💔
Massive thunderstorm bands that developed over Yadadri–Bhongir, Choutuppal & surrounding areas are now moving towards Ranga Reddy district.
Hyderabad's hopes for a widespread spell have once again taken a hit. 😴
NEXT CHANCES FOR HYDERABAD: TOMORROW!

Hyderabad Weather | Waiting for perfect Winters!
Hyderabad is becoming increasingly uncomfortable with temperatures climbing to 35–36°C. Dry winds and intense afternoon sunshine are making outdoor conditions quite unpleasant, during the peak afternoon hours. 🥵☀️
Meanwhile, seasonal flu and infections are also making the rounds. 🤧
Hopefully, proper winter conditions will arrive soon, bringing pleasant afternoons, cool mornings, chilly nights and that refreshing winter breeze Hyderabad is waiting for! ❄️🌬️🤍
Nice to see Towering Cumulus clouds making a comeback in Hyderabad after a while! ☁️⛈️
Hopefully, they develop further and bring some rain to the city. 🌧️🤞
@chintusara2@Hyderabadrains Ok where are dangerous rains , One week is already over, and Hyderabad experienced mostly dry, summer-like weather. Weather forecasting is about evidence and accuracy, not confidence or insults.
GHMC SWM 2026 | SEASON SUMMARY
After 2014, 2015 & 2018, this season too ended on a deficient rainfall note.
📉 2020–2025: 6 consecutive years of Excess Rainfall
💔 2026: The excess-rainfall streak has finally ended.
GHMC 2026: -26% rainfall deficiency
Rainfall distribution was also highly uneven across the city:
West Hyderabad: Somehow managed to receive relatively good rains
North, South & East Hyderabad: Largely affected by rainfall deficiency.
A difficult season for Hyderabad after six consecutive years of excess rainfall.
TELANGANA SWM 2026 | SEASON SUMMARY
Telangana’s SW Monsoon 2026 has ended with an overall NORMAL rainfall status, despite a seasonal deficiency of around -17 to 18%.
It was a mixed monsoon season across the state:
North & Central Telangana: Normal rainfall
Central & South Telangana: Deficient rainfall
What makes this season notable is that no major LPA systems directly entered Telangana during the monsoon. Maintaining an overall Normal rainfall status under such conditions is a very good performance. 💪
2026 is done. Next season, we will come back stronger! ✊🌧️✊
SWM 2026 | MONSOON SUMMARY
India’s SW Monsoon 2026 has ended with rainfall around -13% Normal status.
Despite the influence of a Super El Niño, India performed relatively well overall. 👍
Northwest & Central India received excellent rainfall, with repeated LPA systems helping maintain near-normal rainfall.
⚠️ Meanwhile, South Peninsula, East & Northeast India experienced significant rainfall deficiency.
Overall: Considering the challenging Super El Niño background, India’s monsoon performance was relatively good, with strong regional contrasts across the country.
A season of resilience, variability & surprises!
Looks like Hyderabad wasn’t satisfied with this year’s summer season… 🫠☀️
So, 2nd Summer Season has officially started! 😂
Yesterday, Hyderabad recorded a maximum temperature of 36.1°C, and today the city is already touching 34–35°C at present. 🔥
Thankfully, nights are still relatively comfortable. 🌙😌
March-type weather across Hyderabad!
Such a sad state of the monsoon this year. 😔
Usually, Telangana’s normal date for monsoon withdrawal is around October 15, but this year the monsoon has already started showing signs of an early retreat.
September ending with such dry conditions feels unusual. 🌦️🍂
HYDERABAD RAINY SEASON ENDS 👋🌧️
The 2026 SWM season in Hyderabad comes to an end.
One thing is certain, this season will be a nightmare to forget. 😵💫🌧️
