Diogo Jota's wife, Rute Cardoso, has written a letter to Scotland captain Andy Robertson ahead of the World Cup.
She thanks Robertson for his friendship, and for preserving Diogo's memory. Robertson adds he'll have Jota at the forefront of his mind.🙏
Brendan Gallagher leaves Montreal 89 games shy of 1,000. Few players have meant more to the Canadiens over the past decade. From Markov, to Subban, to Weber, to Hutson, Gallagher was a constant.
A 5th-round pick who willed his way onto the roster, he earned every minute and treated every shift like his last. He gave his body, heart, and soul to this organization, and his fingerprints are all over its future through the impact he's had on this next generation of Canadiens.
An incredible teammate, fierce competitor, and fearless leader. A hockey guy through and through. He is far from the franchise's most decorated player, but few have given more to the organization than Brendan Gallagher.
Merci, Gally.
@HabsDepression@emanningwrites I think he’s miscast.
He’s playing against the top players. (I recall reading one that he had played the most mins of any Dman vs hardest competition).
Not making any excuses-he was bad.
To me he’s a second or even third pair veteran transition D. Plays way too much right now.
Tough conference final for the Canadiens by any measure. But what a run by the youngest team to make the playoffs. Other front offices talk so highly about how Montreal is set up for the next decade with so many good contracts and a salary cap that’s going up big time. More in pipeline coming. Still some holes in that lineup, for sure. But Montreal is way ahead of schedule. Sky’s the limit.
Bieksa spitting facts. Talking about all the failure Carolina went through for the last 7 years. Teams that win usually go through adversity before they reach the mountain top. Habs will be back.
Stop being rage baited by other fans or weirdos who are starving for engagement
Proud of my Habs!
106 pts

Caufield 51 goals
Suzuki 101 pts
Hutson, Demidov, Slaf taking strides
Gutted we fell hard to the Canes, but full credit to them & their suffocating play
Future is bright🔥

“Not really sure why we couldn’t get to our best…We’re still far off and we know it”

@LeafSingh Pretty sure only won game 7 vs Tampa with 9 shots. Both those series were evenly contested, although I admit that in both game 7s the Habs got a lead and sat back, and it was frustrating.
They’re getting absolutely caved in by the Canes, and losing as a result.
I get X gives me ppl a platform and opposing fans can do whatever and say whatever want. It’s just wild that fans of teams that aren’t m in the playoffs have something to say, when they’d swap places in a heartbeat. I do often lament the old days - you just cheered for the result
I love analytics but this where they’ve ruined the game. Habs won 2 great series that went 7. Those series were more evenly matched than the current one which the Habs are getting caved in.
But since when do we call amazing goaltending, timely scoring, special teams play flukey?
Some fans will hope the Habs can win Friday and finally put in a good fight. I don’t see it, for a team like the Canes that have been to the Conf finals a bunch over in the last few years+. No chance they’re taking their foot off the pedal. I expect another one sided affair.
