@teacherhead@SimonBreakspear what is different about the US Edition? Asking from an International educator standpoint working at IB schools. I have the UK(?) version book already.
@adamboxer1 Thanks for replying. The idea of these descriptors is for Ss to self-assess their understanding of content during a unit. The goal would be for Ss to be able to identify more specific areas of studying for an assessment AND feedback for T regarding reteaching certain concepts.
Working on a progression of descriptions for students to self-identify their understanding of a content statement (#IBDP).
Looking for advice on my current draft.

An area of growth for many international schools. Lots of work being done already but this could be a great opportunity for some direction and support. #mypchat#sisrocks#issedu

Do we need end of semester report cards for full year courses? Does this practice benefit Ss? If we have up-to-date gradebooks visible to Ps and Ss with task feedback (Managebac). Noticing increased S stress around semester end due to lots of summatives to get in before RC.
@juouelle@DanielBarker79 try Trevor at @UPStudiosWorld He is based in Shanghai and has a variety of experiences that check the box of what you are looking for. He has talked at my school before too.
I'll be speaking to @EARCOSORG schools on September 25 about 'The Hidden Curriculum of International Schools'. I'm excited to get to talk to educators working in the same region as my research site. Almost feels like a homecoming of sorts! https://t.co/UQP4YdbXSX
I wrote a thing about how 11 research reviews on the science of learning recommend some of the same things. Yet the workshops Iβve experienced in my career are mostly opinion-based about βwhy how we teach is old fashionedβ and βhow to care more about kidsβ https://t.co/i5j3417RWR
Turn your lumbering Frankenstein's monster of a meeting into a fleet-footed expression of simple intent.
[As a bonus, stop overthinking and your planning rumination before a big meeting or workshop.]

We spent our first lessons of the new school year discussing what we believe learning to look and feel like and what atmosphere gets us there. Then we co-constructed our class mission statement.
This is what my Grade 9s created:

@JenWilliamsEdu IPad Pro with pencil and keyboard unless need program specific software. Hits the apple simplicity with stylus digital note capabilities. Some US universities are moving to this for incoming students as a given device.
