@StyngrayChosen I would be shocked if it wasn't illegal to have a weapon on school grounds. All schools should have a zero-tolerance policy because of the school shootings. Teens are notoriously emotional, irrational and impulsive, the trifecta for disaster.
@MikeBaggz Sure, within reason and proportionality. I would probably be on Karmelo's side if he had pushed back or punched Austin. Got into a 1 minute brawl before adults broke it up. Karmelo chose to kill. It wasn't an anything goes street fight, caught in an alley. It was at a track meet.
@therobbieharvey@JAndrewLauer Jury of your peers was never a guarantee that they would have the same skin color as a defendant. There is no constitutional right to that.
@MrDennisByron Karmelo should have taken the stand. If anything, he could show the jury that he is not a monster, which could get him a lesser sentence. He's guilty either way, but he should have explained his side. It was clear they needed something more than nothing.
@PMastersMusic I don't see texas putting up with riots, who knows what will happen around the nation. It does seem like a niche case, not as many people are aware as I thought in person
@sky_roney@Pro__Trading I doubt it. There are plenty of keyboard warriors but aren't there just 10-20 karmelo supporters protesting? If that's all they can manage to bring out, I doubt they can get much more
@tariqnasheed Why are black people freaking out so much about Anthony being guilty? He's still alive, still make a name for himself, hes going away for 25 years. I know guys who've been to prison, got college education, learned skills like soldering and now own their own business.
@DB3njii@_Matthew1017 He didn't steal anything that day. I found multiple sources that the youth had stolen before. He also brought no money so his intentions were sketchy, why would he be there with no purpose to buy anything? He didn't steal anything because he was identified and watched closely
@HRH_SHP LOL could you imagine how fucked up our society would be if Karmelo got off and then Austin's family punished for wanting legal accountability. We might as well be demonic at that point.
