New ACLU video shows the moment ICE arrested Georgetown Scholar Dr. Badar Khan Siri.
Masked agents accosted him on his way home from an iftar.
In just 4 days, he was transferred among 5 different facilities across 3 states. Multiple refused him food or water to break his fast.
I was scheduled to give a talk on Palestine at a student conference at @NotreDame. The University rescinded my talk a week in advance citing an extremely flimsy excuse. It is truly disgusting. Attached is the letter I received and my reply, link below...
50,000 people in Gaza are dead. 114,000 wounded. Two-thirds of the casualties are women, children, or elderly people. The entire infrastructure has been destroyed.
Much of that devastation has been done with U.S. bombs supplied to Netanyahu's war machine. We are complicit.
NYU canceled a speech by the former president of Doctors Without Borders because she was going to discuss the genocide in Gaza. A slide about the death toll in Gaza “could be perceived as antisemitic":

The Israeli army continued its assault on the #Jenin and #Tulkarm camps in the #WestBank today, with the death toll rising to 21 martyrs.
14-year-old Ahmad al-Saadi was killed by a drone strike in Jenin, where Israeli forces detonated several homes. Local sources confirmed that the Israeli army has demolished over 100 homes and displaced more than 15,000 people since the start of the assault on Jenin 12 days ago. In Tulkarm, 50-year-old Waheed Abu Madi was killed by an Israeli sniper.
The University of Munich has canceled my talk, a decision I hope they will reconsider. If not, I look forward to seeing you elsewhere, German friends. May freedom of expression and your right to be informed prevail.

‘As a surgeon in Gaza, I witnessed hell visited on children. It shames me that Britain played a part in it. I saw them killed by sniper fire and drones. Why doesn’t Labour condemn it? Why do arms keep flowing in Israel’s direction?’ https://t.co/Vn16D1C4jz
This is not Gaza, this is Jenin moments ago as the Israeli army continues its offensive on the West Bank dubbing it “Operation Iron Wall.”
Dozens of civilians are killed, including children (as young as 2 years old and 9 years old).
This situation is terrifying. Even those killed in Jenin are not allowed to be buried, they’ve been in the refrigerators for more than a week as the army closes off the cemetery.
The formation of The Hague Group is an extraordinary step. Nine nations from Asia, Africa and Latin America have pledged to honour the ICC warrants, uphold ICJ measures, and block arms to Israel. The global South is stepping up where the West has failed.

One day before the expiration of the 60-day deadline, the Israeli army escalated its attacks on Lebanese border villages, and infiltrated at least five areas of Marjeyoun.
According to the National News Agency, the Israeli army advanced into Markaba, Taloussa, Houla, Wadi al-Saluqi, and Kfar Shuba, where it conducted a large-scale detonation. Meanwhile, residents of border areas in #Nabatieh reported receiving calls from Israel warning them against returning to their towns and homes on Sunday.
Lebanese #RedCross and #CivilDefense teams were dispatched to the areas of Chihine and Jebbayn to recover the bodies of victims, following the Lebanese army's deployment in the two towns on Friday. The army, meanwhile, urged residents to delay their return to border areas due to the presence of mines and unexploded ordnance left behind by the Israeli forces.
The Israeli army has violated the terms of the #ceasefire over 660 times, since it came into effect on November 27, 2024. Israel, backed by the #WhiteHouse, plans to defy the agreement by delaying its withdrawal from border villages, citing the Lebanese army’s alleged failure to enforce its obligations.
