@Justcallme__P I was specifically responding to your saying that “most” fans live over an hour’s drive away without traffic, because there’s no way that’s accurate. Regardless, we both agree that a central rink will be better for everyone. Happy Thursday, man. Another big game tonight.
Sens fans, this is lame. Team is absolutely cooking in a playoff-run game and the place empties out long before the final horn. Yes the rink is in Kanata and the parking lots are annoying, but it gets tough to defend the fanbase when this is the norm. Let’s step it up. #gosensgo
@Justcallme__P Most fans travel over an hour without traffic? That would mean that most fans don’t live anywhere between Kanata and Orleans. I’m not *entirely* sure that’s accurate.
@OttawaGooch Marshy’s was great. When a group of us were camped out for playoff tickets in ‘96 (I think it was ‘96), Marshy himself brought us out some wings and nachos. Awesome times.
@JoeByron87 Certainly not a single-game opinion. I’ve been going to games regularly since ‘92 and have been saying this very thing for years. Hardly think it’s “insane” to be disappointed with a largely empty rink at the end of a meaningful win.
@Undertaker61 Well, The Undertaker - if that is your real name - since you were kind enough to ask about my credentials I can tell you that I was at the first ever game played in that building and literally slept on the sidewalk outside it to get playoff tickets back when that was a thing.
@anthony_derossi Oh man, didn’t realize I would have known you by a different last name. We totally went to kindergarten together. I hung out at your house!
@anthony_derossi Oh wild. I went to St. Nick’s for kindergarten then Brook Lane and Meadowlands. But if you were at St. Greg’s we would have been around each other for sure.
