@nxrthfvceee@lporiginalg My friend, riling up your beautiful baby girl by telling her she’s going to jail isn’t discipline. Purposefully striking terror into her and posting it online to humiliate her isn’t discipline. You’ve been conditioned to feel like this shit is normal and okay to do to children.
@zelenjavni@matthewjuhren I get that it works for you and that’s great. I am just trying to tell you it’s very difficult for me. I do much better in person, because communications are largely synchronous and face to face. It’s impossible to have this discussions if you want to be aloof and dismissive.
@zelenjavni@matthewjuhren Well I don’t have much of a social life so you may have got me there, but I’m gonna add one thing to your list:
- People (like me) who are bad with boundaries so when wfh never turn the “work” mode off and now there is no separation between their professional and private life
@FliguSneed@schizothotep They must be doing the best they’ve ever done in terms of revenue. These companies will follow whatever path works for their bottom line, often to the detriment of the product.
@kenzietuff@BowTiedHomeBake I only had a brother growing up and he was four years older than me and it was well into my adult life before I understood how to relate and talk to females at all. My mom worked so much and was so intent on subverting gender stereotypes that I really had no frame of reference
@J6409313317073@lporiginalg Your suggestion that “that’s how things are taught” is false. I’ve studied psychology. Yes, fear can lead to learning. And it can lead to major problems. Since your so certain it’s a positive way to teach this poor child, perhaps you were abused, and why you would be such a prick
@nxrthfvceee@lporiginalg Yeah enjoying seeing children scream and cry in fear is the normal, right way to be. Thanks for showing me how weak I am for being bothered by that!
@yes0705474@ADHDForReal The ignorance I was responding to is the smuggled-in assumptions that the world is fundamentally cruel, that people inevitably mock compassion, and that this is somehow universal and intrinsic to autism. I reject that overgeneralized, self-confirming, defeatist narrative.
