In America, it takes a minimum of 11 YEARS to create a board-certified physician. 4 years of undergrad, 4 years of medical school, and 3+ years of residency. Mistreating them into early retirement or killing them off in a pandemic is an 11-year fix, minimum. Tread carefully.

@nuchtchas You got a stew by starting from broth, "holy trinity", and precooking, but borscht really is a soup with a broth derived from the beef, cabbage, and beets all cooking from raw (plus tomatoes and the vital large amount of salt). I'm glad you enjoyed it, though!

@nuchtchas Nice! You made it a lot more work for yourself with the precooking you did, and definitely missed out on the specific texture with the vegetable substitutions and less meat. I'm also afraid the potato might have taken a lot of flavor (and salt) out of the broth.

@Cowbuttcrunchie @fabrickind My version is frozen lemonade concentrate, grain alcohol, and water. You need dry ice to make it freeze into a slush, and it tastes like decent lemon Italian ice. Make sure all the dry ice has sublimated before serving, and use tiny cups.
