@buonannulla@libshipwreck My furry combat butler: This was taken when I was in bed severely ill from COVID-19 and she was on guard duty monitoring my breathing. She barely left my side for months and saved me from COVID-19 choking me to death many times.
It's worth pointing out that there have ALREADY been people victimized by ACTUAL violent criminals posing as ICE agents.
When all you have to do is yell you're an ICE agent, it makes it hard to know what's true and what's not.
Show your badge.
Show your face.
Show your warrant.
It's not that hard.
@talleyberrybaby Telling a colleague to bite me while on the phone with our biggest potential client -- this actually loosened the client right up. They were spending all kinds of effort trying not to talk in their usual streams of profanity. They sent us vast buckets of money after that.
There is no number of immigrants that you can deport that will solve the problems capitalism has created. The centralisation of wealth and power and the disenfranchisement of the working class is an operation of capital, not labour. Immigrants aren’t the problem, the rich are.
As a Marine veteran, I swore an oath to defend the Constitution, not a politician. Deploying Marines to silence free speech on American soil isn’t patriotism.
It’s tyranny.
We fight for the people, not against them.
For veteran who feels the same, I invite you to join @commondefense
No, this Palantir database isn’t like the others. It will combine:
-Tax filings
-Student debt
-Social Security
-Bank accounts
-Medical claims
-Immigration status
No previous database system has ever centralized this much personal info across various federal agencies.
The man vs bear argument has been upgraded to man vs lion. A 13yr old girl in Ethiopia was abducted and abused by a group of men but was rescued by lions when they heard her crying and protected her until the police came.
A literal wild animal saved a girl from…men.
@colin_fraser i have multiple email platforms (gmail, microsoft, etc.) and i cannot search and easily find any email anymore… i can literally type in the exact subject line for an email i want to read, and the results will show a dozen random items in my inbox before the one i actually need.
@Acyn Providers, not recipients, commit Medicaid fraud—billing for questionable services, like FL Senator Rick Scott (R)
As CEO of Columbia/HCAA, Scott defrauded Medicare & Medicaid. His company paid a $1.7B fine; he pleaded the fifth 75x & faced no jail time—bc he was rich post-fraud
I have just read the MAHA report in full.
I want to make my position on this clear: The impact of this report, if actually taken seriously, will (on net) make America less healthy.
Many have already pointed out that the report had erroneous citations. But this isn't even the tip of the iceberg.
The report also comically distorts the papers they managed to cite, sometimes to the point where the citation actually says the exact opposite of what it is used in support of. And to whatever degree the citations are accurate, they are often cherry-picked from a fringe finding that goes against the overwhelming body of literature (yes the RCTs in humans show X, but have you considered this mechanistic study that found Y, the literature results are "conflicting".)
It's basically everything you'd expect from RFKjr, and you really, really did not need a commission paper from the Secretary of Health and Human Services to put together something of this quality. Much of this nonsense are just level 0 health/nutrition memes that can simply be found on Reddit, quite frankly.
"Posting that kind of data could cost us $32,500 per day.” A chilling Louisiana law is silencing community groups exposing toxic air — and they're suing to defend free speech. https://t.co/etfWbZZcWt
@annchantel @SingaporeGot7 You're the one who started pestering me. You might want to work on whatever's going on with yourself that you tweet at people and then have a fit of the vapors when they reply.
@jenjenjen701710 Sheesh, nobody slags this guy like his 'fans'. Have enough respect for him to admit that bubble message is not remotely what he normally sounds like -- he's very well-spoken and articulate, and that was a hot mess. Show some respect for his skills.
New: The USDA has ended a program that dozens of tribal food banks say has helped them provide fresh, locally produced food that is important to their traditions and cultures. https://t.co/9j0VrktfmZ
🇦🇺Australia: A new COVID variant is driving up infections
Genomic sequencing confirms NB.1.8.1 is spreading in Australia, making up under 10% of cases in SA and over 40% in VIC as of 6 May.
In Perth, wastewater shows NB.1.8.1 is now the dominant variant.
