Growing up, we were often made to feel that the way we spoke, our slang, our language, was somehow lesser.

Today, watching that very Telangana sound being celebrated by world-class artists on a world-class stage, with the world embracing it…

It’s hard to put into words.

Proud. Happy. Emotional. And perhaps, finally, a little seen.
