Thank you to @EducationFL for not only spotlighting the importance of cybersecurity training, but also our partnership to deliver quality apprenticeships for local employers through Polk State College.
85 YEARS OF IMPACT.
Yesterday, Commissioner @HenmackIII joined our Division of Blind Services at their 85th anniversary celebration in Tallahassee.
We’re committed to continuing our work to expand opportunity and accessibility for Floridians who are blind or visually impaired.
Cybersecurity is national security—and we must be prepared by building a workforce equipped to protect our future.
Last month, we announced a partnership with @PolkState to launch a Cybersecurity Registered Apprenticeship program.
Apprentices in this program will train in computer forensics, system security, and ethical hacking while receiving PAID, on-the-job training.

SHAPE THE FUTURE OF SCIENCE EDUCATION.
Next Tuesday we are hosting the FINAL stop of our Science Standards listening tour.
Join us and share your thoughts on our draft standards directly with Commissioner @HenMackIII.
Yesterday, Commissioner @HenmackIII spoke with principals and school leaders from every corner of our state.
Our gains in reading, math, and graduation rates don’t happen by accident—they happen because school leaders keep the focus on mastery, not motion.
Florida’s educators are aligned: high expectations, teacher support, and pathways that prepare students for work and citizenship.
“Universities must recognize that, at its core, the affordability crisis is an administrative overhead crisis. You cannot freeze tuition if you continue to expand layers of bureaucratic red tape that add zero value to students’ education.”

Speaking to Florida’s colleges of teacher education this week, I made a simple claim: the most important work in education is not the transmission of techniques or the sorting of students into pathways. It is the cultivation of rationality itself.
Aristotle, Newman, Hutchins, Peters, Scheffler, and Siegel all converge on the same point: an educated person is one who has been initiated into the free and critical quest for reasons—who is appropriately moved by evidence and argument rather than by fashion or authority.
Florida’s rankings and multiple pathways matter. But they rest on something prior: teachers who can form free persons capable of self-rule.

This National Transfer Student Week, we’re highlighting students like Gabby Nicholas, an @SeminoleState alumna who is making a difference.
In 2014, Gabby received a @TheJKCF scholarship which allowed her to transfer to @UF.
Now, she’s the alumni engagement manager at the very foundation that gave her this opportunity! Read her full story: https://t.co/SfWowBT8FI

@ErikaDonalds said it this morning: "Proud to continue the Free State of Florida for your children and ours!" That's the choice on the ballot. Keep what @GovRonDeSantis built and elect @ByronDonalds governor. Early voting opens in every county tomorrow.

THE CDL CRACKDOWN CONTINUES.
If you can’t speak English or read basic road signs, you SHOULD NOT be behind the wheel.
Our new memo is clear: CDL programs must comply with ALL federal and state language and training requirements—and take IMMEDIATE action to identify and correct any deficiencies.
We will stop at nothing to protect Floridians by keeping unqualified drivers OFF our roads.
School choice is the necessary condition for economic mobility & affordability.
Addresses shouldn’t decide kids’ future—or force one to overpay just to escape a bad school. Choice breaks both traps. Opportunity follows the child, not the zip code. Mobility rises. The housing premium falls.
Everything else is downstream.
I’m a school choice parent, and so is Christa — a wonderful lady who came to our Pasco County bus stop today with her three young kids.
Parents know what’s best for their kids. We are going defend parents’ rights, promote school choice, and ensure every Florida kid has a path to success!
