Happy School Social Work Week! (March 2-8)

March is Arts in Our Schools Month! We are proud to be the only district in our county offering orchestra! In addition, we provide robust arts programs, including band, chorus, performing arts, and visual arts, giving students opportunities to express creativity and talents.
March is Women's History Month! Hickory City Schools proudly celebrates the incredible contributions of women—past and present—who inspire, lead, and shape our world.
This is Read Across America Week, which runs through March 6! Take time this week to celebrate reading by sharing the joys of a storybook, or two, with kids of all ages! Good reading skills help students achieve academic and lifelong success!
Today, we welcomed Ashe County and Alexander County Schools, who joined us for our first Future-Focused Leadership series! Together, we’re exploring transforming instruction and assessment in the age of AI with special guest speaker Dr. Bill Daggett. #FutureFocused#AIinEducation
