Our partner Jonathan Hightower (@hightowerbanks) was a guest on the @mobankers podcast Our Two Cents discussing community banking amid the changing landscape created by COVID-19.

Buried here, but scoop-y: banks poised to get a reprieve on new accounting rules that require them to book losses on loans much more quickly. https://t.co/dkKrYpAPCc w @KateDavidson
Side note: I thought the strangest thing in the report was the discussion of cash. Then of course @wsj released a podcast installment on that very topic this morning.

We distributed a report to our @FKHPartners clients regarding the corporate/regulatory considerations for community banks amid COVID-19 concerns. We've now decided to post/share more broadly in case it's helpful to others. See link below.

This guy is definitely the real deal. Anyone traveling on I-16 should check out what Spence and the other leaders in Dublin have done in their downtown area. Congrats to Spence and the rest of the @morrisbankga team!
I always enjoy this look at the FDIC data from @RobertKlingler. Another way of looking at the size disparity in M&A: many acquirers aren't going to acquire a bank that adds only an amount of loans/deposits that is less than the bank's organic annual growth.
Who Will be the Next Community Bank Acquirer of Choice in Georgia? Georgia's historical serial acquirers have potentially outgrown the potential sellers, so who will be next? https://t.co/ulkeW3bRwY
It'll be interesting to see what the market volatility of the past week does to this recent trend. As much as we all intellectually understand the (many times temporary) impact of outside forces on bank stock prices, it always seems to play into the psychology of the parties.
Our Jonathan Hightower (@hightowerbanks) and Crystal Huffman (@CrystalHuffFKH) wrote about a recent decision in Georgia with interesting implications for bank directors. See their note here.

Always an intriguing presentation when GBA’s general counsel @hightowerbanks of @FKHPartners speaks to GBA members. His legal / business update for our Leadership Conference today did not disappoint. #LeadershipGBA
