Shocking really. Admitted multiple breaches after trying to pin it all on a young intern as if he was acting alone.
Saints come out of this so bad, classless in some fans and player reactions at the time. Deserved punishment!

Exclusive: The Premier League is proposing to allow clubs to negotiate settlements for breaches of its financial rules rather than automatically having to face a disciplinary commission. The plan will be put to a vote at its annual meeting next month. https://t.co/uyuxHDlYC7
Took 112 days to charge the club
2 day hearing
16 hours for verdict
19 days to publish decision
No one from EFL gave evidence at the hearing.
3/4 people from West Brom.
Although it would have been good to appeal and show up the EFL for their extremely poor handling of everything, we need all club resources focused on moving forwards and giving us a better season in 26/27! I can understand why they want to save time/money and move on!
@_the_a_bis@AlbionAnalysis We sold Palmer and Townsend when they were in the Prem first time I think so doubtful on those, but hopeful on the others. Every little helps!
🗣️🏴 Ben Foster on Fabio Capello when he was England's manager:
“I actually missed the birth of my son and his attitude towards me was disappointing.”
My daughter Olivia had just been born, and my wife was about to give birth to our second child, Louis. I was focused with the England national team when I was told that labor had started. Without a second thought, I went to speak with the coach to ask for permission to leave. I expected an understanding response, something like: 'Go be with your family.'
But the opposite happened. He told me we had training in an hour. That’s when I realised the situation wasn’t normal.
There was a designated driver assigned to take me back, but he was driving strictly within the speed limits. Halfway through the journey, I asked to take the wheel myself. He agreed. I ended up driving as fast as I could on roads and highways to try to reach the hospital before the birth. When I finally arrived, my son had already been born 10 minutes earlier. Luckily, everything had gone well. Even my childhood best friend was the one who cut the umbilical cord, something my family still jokes about to this day.
Hours later, his assistant contacted me. They told me Fabio Capello wanted me to return that same night to play the second half of a friendly match the following evening. It wasn’t even an important game, just a friendly. My wife told me it was no problem, that she’d stay at the hospital and our son was happy and healthy. So I went back, and went to the stadium the following night… but I didn’t play a single minute. No one gave me any explanations, no one spoke to me, and they didn’t even thank me for returning.
From that day on, I made the decision not to play for England again as long as he was the coach.
The problem was never representing my country. Playing for England was one of the greatest honours of my career. The problem was him. He never understood that there are personal moments that take precedence over football. He never congratulated me or showed the slightest bit of interest. And for me, that was enough.”
