1992- Moi manipulated but won because opposition was divided.

1997- Moi manipulated but won because opposition was divided.

2002- Kibaki won free and fair

2007- Baba won

2013- Baba won

2017- Uhuru Kenyatta won. Maraga ruling was on technicalities.

2022- William Ruto won.

According to various research conducted in the industry, the minimum cost of making 1 ML of ethanol based alcohol is 1 Shilling. Accordingly the minimum retail price for 250 ML of Spirits is Ksh 250 assuming break even only. A multi agency team comprising of NACADA, National Treasury, KRA, KEBS,Ministry of Health, Government Chemist etc, should be set up in conjuction with industry players through the Alcoholic Beverages Association of Kenya. They should validate this estimated cost. After which a crack down should take place and those found selling spirits or other ethanol based alcohol for less than Ksh 250 for 250 ML should be forced to say siri yao ni gani. Parliament should also set Ksh 250 as Recomended Retail Price for spirits and ethanol based alcohol. Finally to control entry and distribution of ethanol in the market, the amendments to Section 33 of the Excise Act that collapsed with the Finance Bill of 2024 that I personally pushed with Hon. Kimani Kuria and the Finance Committee should be introduced as stand alone amendments and parliament makes this a priority. We will lose a whole generation as we watch. Do nothing is not an option

I disagree heavily with the political decision making of Rigathi Gachagua. He suffers from poor judgement. He has a history of making bad choices for the community. And above all I know a lot about him from our time together in the 12th parliament, Tanga Tanga movement and the Cabinet. I will leave that to my memoirs that I will publish soon. But mgalla muue na haki yake umupe. Rigathi Gachagua was serious about fighting illicit brews in Mt Kenya region. The current holder of that office is not. This woman would not have gone through this pain

This is what he will tell you. That DCP is merging with a soon to be rebranded Wiper is because of opposition unity. But we know the truth. The reason Jamleck Kamau and Jicho Pevu left DCP for Wiper is because they got wind DCP is being dissolved and merged with Wiper. Dear my fellow Mt. Kenya political leaders. We have a problem in our hands. 2 weeks ago, our brothers and sisters among the importers in the traders community went to the streets. Reason? They were complaining that the customs duty rate had been raised from Ksh 2.5 Million to Ksh 3 Million. They wanted the duty mantained at Ksh 2.5 Million. President Ruto not only gave the traders an audience at State House. President Ruto agreed to their request and went further than the proposed Ksh 2 Million per well per project.
