Tether is on sale this weekend as part of the Allplay & Friends sale. Most of these games never go on sale during the year. No matter how many things you buy, shipping is just $4 in the USA, so get all your holiday games in one order. https://t.co/fyS9HQYdei
Tether is a disorienting card game about connecting adrift astronauts. It's also one of the best small games I've played all year. My review: https://t.co/v4DhnVK2X9
I did my best to explain why I like this thinky little card game but it’s as challenging to describe as it is fun to play!

@jsthoma1_public We missed the timeline for a booth at Gen Con, so we won't be there. The first show where Tether will be present is PAXU later this year. We will also be demoing our next game then too.
@erik_a_sunden Babylonia! It's got such interesting interconnected options each turn, and everything you do makes an impact on all players' future turns. No wasted decision space.
@GameMinimalist The biggest gaps with KS are the lack of pledge manager (late pledges, charging shipping as late as possible, etc). But KS has such a bigger audience that I agree it's the right choice until a publisher has enough of a following that they don't need that built-in familiarity.
@belltowergames Yeah, it's interesting how many different options there are for fairly standard stuff. And I've seen different publishers take drastically different paths. It's all based on what you think is most important and what level of comfort you have with certain parts of the journey.
As a first time publisher, there have been times where I just hold my breath and hope things work:
- When I pressed the launch button kickstarter for the first time
- When I wire transferred thousands of dollars to a printing company (takes days to get through to the other side)
@dnlnwmn That's the sort of thing where you heard it and your stomach just drops. Fortunately there's a tunnel connecting all the Lexingtons of the world together.
I find that so much of the process of publishing a game is:
Step 1 - Prepare a bunch of stuff in an attempt to stay ahead of schedule.
Step 2 - Find something you didn't anticipate and adjust as effectively as possible.
Repeat ad nauseam.
In case you were on the fence about the Oracle of Play tarot deck, which includes a card from Tether, it's closing in on the last day. Here's a sample of some of the cards in the deck, pulled from several different games. https://t.co/vo46RU6ck0
I'm very happy to announce my involvement with the Alleyway Oracles Tarot deck project! "The Oracle of Play" deck uses art I had created for @HowToBroccoli 's game "Tether"! Check it out! https://t.co/fnv1pide51
