I am not the most die hard GW1 fan, I am not even the top 50% of GW2 enjoyers. But I say with my full chest that not experiencing both games is a mistake and a tragedy. How else are you able to experience hating Kormir across two separate games hundreds of years apart?

The pain that GW2 inflicted on GW1 fans is still felt strongly. Strong enough Arenanet acknowledged in the video about the future of the games how bad they screwed up with the development of 2 and how it killed the end of 1’s life. GW2 is special in its own way, but the way the game came out hurt so bad people still haven’t moved on. GW1 is truly unique in so many ways that the only thing that scratches that itch IS GW1. It’s not an excuse for the behavior and attitudes. But maybe people can understand where that mindset and vitriol came from even just a little bit.
