A "family festival" in suburban Kansas City was overrun with "teens" who began BEATING POLICE OFFICERS and UNLEASHED BEAR SPRAY on attendees.

The fire department kept coming back to treat people who couldn't breathe.

It took 3 POLICE AGENCIES to get the crowd under control and during a foot chase, officers recovered a 3D-PRINTED GHOST GUN off another juvenile.

Only two teens were detained and then released to their parents.

This is the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW teens have hijacked this festival.

The Federal Reserve is trapped. Even as they cut the Fed fund rate, long-term Treasury yields are refusing to follow. The 10-Year Treasury has flatlined while the 30-Year Treasury is actually moving higher.

We've entered a Bear Steepener. The Fed is cutting rates because the debt is becoming unmanageable, but that's the same reason why the bond market is beginning to revolt.

Eventually, something is going to give. Fiscal dominance is already here. Financial repression will inevitably follow.

Oh, and we also need to repeal Hart-Celler, end the H-1B program, and ban all third world migration to the United States.

The election debacle unfolding in Los Angeles is doing us all a favor.

Sure, it sucks to watch unfold like a slow-motion car wreck, but that's actually a good thing.

Here's why.

During a nationwide election, everyone is focused on their own state as well as all the big races on the national level.

In short, there's too much going on.

The accusations of impropriety are similarly vast (and for a whole bunch of reasons), thereby creating an ocean of static that overwhelms any meaningful focus on any one instance, and, in a few months, the outrage dies down until the next election.

In this case, the nation is mainly focused on the Los Angeles mayor's race, which has captured everyone's attention. And without their own election interests hogging their minds, the masses are collectively taking in what's going on there.

And what we're all seeing is overt fraud taking place in real time.

This will ONLY work to simultaneously outrage the nation (which is already happening) and massively increase support for securing our elections.

BTW: The SAVE America Act is waiting in the wings as the House has already passed a version. This means that at ANY TIME the Senate could switch course, invoke the Nuclear Option to end the filibuster, and move it to a vote, putting it on the President's desk to sign the same day.

IMHO, this is about timing.
This was ALWAYS about timing.

Pass it with the most support, at the last possible moment that allows it to be implemented for Nov., and carry the swell of momentum that would then completely invigorate the right going into the stretch run of the election.

Not to mention that this series of events would deny the Democrats the least time to try to figure out new ways to cheat around it, as well as to attempt to stop it via litigation in court.

I could be wrong, but this makes a whole lot of sense to me.

The single minded focus on those charged/convicted of “assault” on police—when the 18 USC 111 statute also applies to “interfering” or “impeding” federal officers—allows the media to ignore the hundreds of other low level misdemeanor cases that nonetheless resulted in torturous investigations and prosecutions, rigged trials, and time in federal prison.
